This 1965 Chevy pickup is hard to find with both as a short bed and also with the large rear window. The fresh rebuilt 350 engine with a Powerglide transmission gives plenty of power to the wheels. There are NO accessories to slow this truck down = power to the wheels! The front tires, front wheel bearings, drums, some brake lines, and brakes were also just replaced and driven only about 1/4 mile since. There has been some shade tree repair to the floorboard. A couple rear cab supports could be replaced it you're restoring the truck ilo just driving it. There are NO rust holes showing. The front fenders are bubbling at the rear bottom of each. The wood bed is looking its age = 54 years old. The time and money spent on this truck - it doesn't take much space to explain in the ad but, between the engine and the front end there has been a lot of quality work done and some serious $$$'s spent to make this a reliable safe truck. We did not check out the rear brakes and, it would be a good idea to do so before driving it every day. That being said it steers very well and goes right down the road. This IS an auction and, hopefully this truck will be owned at the end of this auction by someone who cares enough for this truck to continue to bring this truck back to the condition it deserves. There is no bond I have located in this truck! The items in the truck bed do NOT go with the truck. I just needed the storage at the time. I do have a fresh rebuilt 700R4 set up to handle a heavy load if the new buyer is interested in the rebuilt heavy duty 700R4 for an extra price. It's not a "give away" as it took over 2k to have rebuilt. The transmission rebuilder lives in Clinton, Il as so does my truck (lives in a garage in Clinton, Il. 61727).
