All offers will be considered. The $50,000 is just a high starting point. However, any knowledgeablecollector knows if this car was a 1967-1970 Camaro, Corvette, or Chevelle SS with this actual mileage and condition, buy it now would be higher than $50k and reasonable. Do not make offers if you are not willing to pay. Likely, the nicest survivor condition in the world for a 1970/1971 model year SS Nova with this kind of actual mileage! This is last year for higher horsepower Nova with 12 bolt rear end--very low production compared to 1970! $2000 deposit due immediately, full payment due in 3-business days.
Once in a life time find on this genuine 1971 Nova SS Triple Black 4-spd 12 bolt car. 35,000 Actual miles. You will likely never see another one in your life time that is not restored in this condition as an example of how they really were when they came from GM. Amazing time capsule! There were less than 3975 1971 Nova SS cars built with Muncie 4speed trans and 12 bolt rear axle out of the 194,000 Nova produced in 1971. This is less than 3%. There were over 13,000 SS 4speed Novas produced in 1970, so 1971 is a more rare car. This car deserves to go to a collector who can put it up in a "cocoon" type of environmentwhere it can be further preserved and appreciated. Someone that realized how few cars are left like this in the world that are nearly 50 years old. This is likely the lowest documented mileage early Nova SS you will find on the market place, and I suspect even if you find one with this sort of mileage or less, it will not be in as good of condition if it has not been restored. This Nova was assembled by GM with the highest horsepower engine package available that could be ordered in 1971!All original GM metal dated coded, no signs of ever being in an accident, not even any dents to panels I have noticed. All originalpaint! Can supply correct wheels and lower air shocks and remove traction bars if desired for stock appearance!
1970 was last year for big block. This Nova has the highest hp small block available that could be ordered for 1971: the last year for 12 bolt rear end and the higher hp engines. The factory engine GM put in the car is rated only 20hp lower than the 1969 Z/28 DZ small block engine. Not too bad! Because this is such a pure survivor car and likely the nicest unrestored condition with this sort of mileage example in the world, options do not really matter at this point. The 12 bolt, factory triple black code 19 Tuxedo Black, 4-speed Muncie pedal car are just options as a cherry on top. Anyone with enough money can buy and have a restored concours car. Very few collectors can have or find one like this unrestored in this condition with so much of the car untouched and still like the GM Willow Run plant put it together 48 years ago!
ENGINE TRANS AND REAR END:Original Numbers Matching Transmission M20 Wide ratio with 3925661 Case stamped by GM with this cars VIN and stamped P1D14A, which decodes P for Muncie assembled April 14th of 1971. Rear end 12 bolt Casting #3969341NF with casting date L 29 0, decodes December 29th 1970. Axle tube stamped BMW096, decodes 3:31 ratio 12 bolt assembled 96th day of 1971 or April 6th 1971. As you can see the Muncie trans and the rear end are very close to each other making it apparent both were born to this April built car. The engine is correct #3970010 casting block stamped by GM and installed to this car by GM back in early 1970's. It is stamped CE for warranty replacement and casting date on warranty block is K 11 1, decodes November 11th 1971.
Car has what I believe to be original head lights crystal clear, original windshield wipers, and the condition of window glass, chrome bumpers, stainless trim, light lens and grill on the car is amazing to me--I mean the condition of it for its age 48 year old.
"It is not the car or its options so much that have impressed me. It is its mileage and condition. I am absolutely positive mileage is correct and the interior is in condition of lets say a 2017 Camaro with 35,000 miles that has been well cared for. Also the car like on fuel system has that vapor can in trunk behind back seat and all these little things that have never been played with or removed and they are like new condition without even surface rust. The factory jack in trunk has the gold factory cadium plating on it and not even discolored or pitted. The burlap and fabric under the seats is like new from a fabric shop and springs under seats are not rusted. Wiring under dash radio dash speaker look like GM just put them in a few years ago. The marker light assemblies in the trunk and wiring look brand new with gm tags still on the wiring.Seat belts look brand new--plastic is pure white on marker light bodies in trunk. This car is a time capsule. Must be seen to appreciate it. Lets forget what brand and horsepower it is, it is the condition of these 48 year old GM original parts that impresses me. I have bought NOS 48 year old parts still in GM boxes that have aged and pitted and discolored more than most parts on this car! I guess this last sentence will most likely sum it up!"
I have contacted Patrick Glen Nichols of Muscle Car Barn Finds on this car and invited him to come film the car!
This car has never been hacked. Originalradio with originalspeakers.Wiring under dash unmolested and looks like new. Fuel tank appears to beoriginalwith originalfuel lines and vapor can behind rear seat in truckstill present and looks like new. GM inspection stickers still on dash cluster.Appears dash and cluster and radio have never been removed from the car. Appearsseats were never removed from the car. I did pop up only the lower back seatportion to look for build sheet. One is there wrapped around seat frame. Left itthere undisturbed. No signs of rodents or any articlesunder back seat. Appearsthe back seat was not used. Looks like it was never sat in. Does not even needcleaned under rear seat--no food or pens or coins under back seat--clean justjust like it left the GM line. All GM originalpaper and floor insulation under backseat and metal like brand new. All originalGM dated seat belts mint like new, including the GM shoulder belts clipped on headliner--headliner is mint!! Bottoms ofseats, springs, and seat burlap in MINT condition. Almost hard to believe the interioris original. However, I assure you it is!
