1970 Chevrolet C30 LongHorn NAPCO 4X4
1970 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 3500
I am decided to sell this very special truck, which I've been pursuing for nearly 20 years. this particular truck is a very rare C30 1 ton Longhorn Edition that was converted to 4wheel drive by napco For the US Navy. General Motors did not offer a 4-wheel drive one ton chassis until 1973. I bought it from a gentleman that won this vehicle in an auction of decommissioned vehicles in 1981. He used the truck for firewood occasionally and parked it in 1986 because his wife thought that the truck drove too rough for her. After inquiring about the truck over the last 20 years I was able to catch him unfortunately in bad health. he decided to finally let the truck go. The truck has a small block Chevy engine with a 4 speed manual transmission and divorced transfer case it has Eaton locker differentials front and rear. The chassis is in Rust free condition due to the low original miles of 15000. However the body of the truck did not fare so well this would be an excellent and very valuable restored truck.something I do not have the time to take on at this point in my life. the truck does run idle and move under its own power .it will need the brake system restored to drive. 3012523097 or 3013668647 John
