Description:

1972 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454

You are viewing a very rare and extremely nice 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454. This is an original, all-numbers matching, Kentucky car. This car was purchased new and owned by the same family until just a few years ago. To this date, the car has 93,559 original, actual miles on it. It has had one repaint in the rare, original, factory color of "Burnished Copper Metallic" and, to make it even better, this is a factory air-conditioned car.
The original, numbers-matching "W-code" LS5 454 Big Block engine has been rebuilt, detailed, and runs excellent. The transmission is a built Turbo 400, with a high-stall converter and a deep, aluminum pan. The original, numbers-matching Turbo 400 is also included with the car. The rear end is the original, numbers-matching, 3.31 ratio, 12-Bolt Posi-Traction unit.
The "Saddle" bucket seat interior is in very nice shape, and a brand new set of door panels and armrests are included, to make it even better. The originals are decent, but show some normal wear from age. The dash and headliner is beautiful, as are the gauges and carpeting.
The floors, frame, and trunk are exceptional and show no signs of rot, anywhere.
This is a very nice example of a rare, numbers-matching, real SS 454 Chevelle. If you've been waiting for a real one, with no excuses, this is it!
Real Chevelle SS 454's like this one are becoming nearly extinct, so here's your opportunity if you've been looking for a nice one in a rare and desirable color combination withlow, original mileage.

This car is very nice inside and out and is clean under the hood as well...the engine compartment is very nice (please see the pictures). I do not slather motors with Armor All to make them appear nicer, or newer, than they are. The picture of this engine compartment is exactly as it was when the car was purchased...extremelyclean.

These are the cars aficionados lust after, and this is an unmolested example. It is very responsive, smooth-shifting and, of course, very fast.

This car is in excellent overall condition, has been very well-maintained and has little of the normal wear and tear you would expect to find on a used vehicle. This vehicle, as most used vehicles do, will have imperfections...this typically includes;minor scrapes, scratches, chips, nicks, dings, etc....that being said, this car has no known mechanical defects and it runs and drives excellent. Please, keep in mind, we strive to find the nicest used vehicles possible, but they are still used vehicles.
DON'T PASS THIS ONE UP, REAL, NUMBERS-MATCHING CARS ARE VERY, VERY HARD TO FIND AND I DOUBT YOU WILL SEE ANOTHER FOR SALE IN THE NEAR FUTURE WITH THIS LOW OF MILEAGE, IF AT ALL.
As with all of our auctions, this car has a low reserve price set. This 1972 Chevelle SS 454 will sell to the high bidder at the end of the auction, providing the reserve is met. Please call if you would like to discuss it. Please complete all inspections BEFORE bidding...if you win the auction, you own the vehicle.
Because of increasing expenses in every regard, we have been forced to raise our fees by $20, this is the first time in ten years that we have done this, so hopefully you will understand. There will be a $195 documentation fee and a $15 title fee added to each sale, these will be the ONLY additional fees you will be responsible for, unless you reside in the state of Ohio, in which case you will need to pay the proper amount of sales tax, based on the current rate for the county in which you reside. Temporary 30-day plate and registration is also available for $18.50. We do not charge any additional fees and there are no hidden charges. Most sellers are charging double this amount currently.
I welcome any and all questions you might have prior to bidding on this car. I do reserve the right to end the auction early if the vehicle sells locally prior to the end of auction(please call if you like). I am a law-enforcement officer as well and as such, work long hours so you are free to call me as late in the evening as you like. I can be reached anytime at (614) 893-3857. I will take calls 24/7 up until the end of the auction.
Winning bidder agrees to forward a 25% partial payment (unless a lesser amount is agreed upon PRIOR to the end of the auction) at end of auction via direct bank wire transfer or by overnighted cashier's check, money order or certified funds. Balance will be due within seven days of end of auction or at time of pick up or delivery, whichever comes first. I will help in any way possible to arrange transportation. I can store the vehicle for up to 90 days, until pick up can be arranged, as long as it's paid for in full.
I may be able to deliver this vehicle personally, depending on your location, at a reduced rate.
I have been buying, selling and driving unique, specialty vehicles for over ten years now and take pride in offering only low-mileage vehicles that are not "run of the mill", beat-up cars and trucks. I specialize in the hard to obtain cars, SUV's and trucks, Dodge 5.9 Cummins and Ford 7.3 Powerstroke Diesel trucks, Chevrolet Impala and Caprice 9C1 and 9C3 police vehicles, collectible and rare muscle cars, trucks and vans. If there are any questions at all, again, please don't hesitate to call me at (614) 893-3857. I will answer all e-mails as quickly as possible. Thanks and good luck!
Because of people who bid and do not contact me or pay, I am being forced to implicate a rule pertaining to low-feedback bidders. ANY BIDDER WHO BIDS, WITH A FEEDBACK OF 5 OR LESS, WILL HAVE THEIR BID RETRACTED IMMEDIATELY unless they contact me first, prior to bidding. I hope everyone understands, and I thank our hundreds of happy customers, but a few bad apples have spoiled the proverbial bunch. Thanks for understanding.
Please remember, this is a used vehicle, and not new, although it is probably in better condition than most you will see. As such, it will have minor flaws consistent with the miles and age of the vehicle, and with normal use. That being said, it is in beautiful shape and runs & looks excellent. It is not what you would typically expect, or what you will find elsewhere for sale. Please, if you want to come and look at it, do so BEFORE bidding...or call me, as always, at 614-893-3857 or e-mail me and I will answer any questions you may have. Thanks!
