1978 Chevrolet Corvette

1978 Corvette Indianapolis 500 Official Pace Car. 5.7L 350, auto trans. Has the very desireable upgraded L82 engine. Engine is numbers matching to the car. Rebuilt trans, all new brake system including master cyl, all 4 calipers, all 4 rotors, pads, brake hoses, etc. All new power steering hoses, and steering cyl. Has a rebuild quadrajet carb, and original quadrajet is included. Body appears to have mostly original paint. It has the typical lacquer checking that you see on original paint cars of the era. I do believe there have been touch ups done throughout the years. I don't see any evidence of any collision damage, or fiberglass repairs anywhere. Brand new Cooper Cobra tires all the way around. New seat upholstery, Door panels appear original, and very nice. Could use a new dash pad. Power windows and locks work. Will need some vacuum hoses to be sorted and replaced to pass smog, but all original smog equipment is still intact, including original catalytic converter. Car has a recent tune up, and runs and drives very nicely. Original mirrored T-tops, and also included is a one piece targa top. All glass is in nice shape. Odometer shows 85K, I was told it was original, but I have no way to verify that. I would assume it is probably more.
No rust anywhere in the car. It has been a Southwestern car all it's life.
The car is a real head turner. Just needs some minor details mentioned above. I'd probably replace the dash pad, and carpet, and drive the car as is. The patina on the original paint is pretty nice. L82 engine is what separates this from run of the mill 78 Corvettes.
