CORRECT 70 CHAMPAGNE GOLD, BIG BLOCK 454, BUCKETS W/ CONSOLE, SS DASH W/ TACH!
1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454
M. Scott Peck said, "Until you value yourself, you won't value your time. Until you value your time, you will not do anything with it." He may not have said that with the idea that it was justification for buying a Chevelle SS, but it sounds like a good one. Your hard work is valuable and you deserve this car! Once you have it, the time you spend with it will be precious and you will definitely be doing something... with it as often as you can. This car looks fantastic in Champagne Gold with Black SS stripes. The body and paint pros must have put tons of time into getting the panels lined up just right and making sure the surfaces were well prepped before a drop of that paint was sprayed on the metal. After the SS stripes were sprayed on and looking good running up the cowl induction hood and down over the trunk, everything was clear coated over. The results are a real nice shine that lights reflect off of in smooth, straight lines down the side and gentle curves over the rear fenders. A white SS badge proudly leads the way on the blacked-out grill while SS 454 appears on the front fenders, and another SS appears on the back bumper. All the chrome on the car looks sharp and shines brightly and peeking out the back are a pair of oval chrome exhaust tips. Open the door and you will find a neat and clean Black interior. To start things out, the door panel is looking good with a pleated center section trimmed in chrome piping with an SS badge toward the front. The two spoke steering wheel has another SS badge in the center and it sits in front of a stock dashboard with the speedometer in the center and a tach to the left with engine gauges flanking it on each side. An auxiliary set of Auto gage meters for oil pressure and water temp are mounted at the front of the center console to keep more accurate tabs on those functions, and there is a horseshoe shifter for the automatic transmission that falls easily to hand just in front of them. The front bucket seats are nicely trimmed out in textured vinyl with smooth side bolsters while a nice feature of a mid-sized muscle car is that you friends will have plenty of room in the back seat to join you on a cruise night too. Up under the hood of this car is the muscle behind this classic. Chevy's 454 cubic inch powerhouse. This one is dressed up with a chrome air cleaner with a 454 Turbo Jet 450 HP decal on it as well as black and brushed metal valve covers bragging about the displacement too. There is a Holley 4-barrel carb feeding an Edelbrock Performer air gap manifold which gets the mixture to aftermarket cylinder heads. Hooker long tube headers get the spent gasses out through dual Flowmaster mufflers and it all works together to give this car a nice healthy rumble. Signs of good regular maintenance include new cap, wires and plugs as well as newer belts and hoses and a new battery. Power flows back through a 3-speed automatic transmission to a 12-bolt rear end mounted on coil springs with trailing arms. Control arms and a sway bar up front help the car handle well and power front disc brakes provide good stopping power. 225/70R14 white lettered tires are mounted on 5-lug Magnum wheels with SS center caps to complete the picture. Come on down and spend some of your valuable time with this car. You might just decide that you deserve this car. And you would be right.
