1970 Chevrolet El Camino 4spd Clean Calif CarI have owned this Camino for over 10 years and I believe I am the third owner.Out of 5 El Caminos that I have owned, this is the nicest El Camino of them all.Completely rebuilt Suspension and Brakes including all new; Bushings, Tie-Rod ends, Ball Joints,Drag Link, Center Link, Sway Bar Links, Upper and Lower rear Control Arms, Power Steering Box, etc.Converted to Power Disc Brakes using all N.O.S. parts with new Brake Rotors, Calipers, Brake Lines,Master Cylinder, Power Vacuum Can, and all Wheel Bearings. Copy of receipts to Buyer.This Car now has incredible Brakes and handles like a new 1970 El Camino.
The Wheels are 8" Rallye Wheels off of a 1972 Corvette and not cheap copies. Center Caps also original.Tires have tread but are not new.
Paint looks beautiful, there is one 2" paint sag above Passenger Door Handle, see photo.Vinyl Top is Clean with no flaws. Has Slider Type Class 4 Trailer Hitch.All Panels, Rockers, Frame and Floorboards have no rust. This is a Clean El Camino.
Transmission is a Muncie M21 Four Speed, Build Plate shows it's a Factory 4 Speed.I removed the SS Hood Stripes but a SS Stripe Kit comes with the car.Bed is coated with non-slip Gorilla Protection. Reverse Lights need re-connection.
Interior has no damage, Dash Pad has no cracks, Carpet is perfect.Rare Center Console, Bucket Seat option. Custon Cloth Upholstery is deep and very comfortable.In Dash CD Player/Radio with rear speakers. Tach, Engine Temp, Pressure, and Amp Gauges all work.Ash Tray is missing its steel insert, this is a No Smoking Car.
Comes with Original Ignition Key and a second set of Keys.Glove Box locks with Round Key as it should. Center Console doesn't lock.Car also comes with an Original Air Conditioning Control Assembly to convert to Air. Some Ducts included.
The Engine is a 350 Small Block that was rebuilt 4500 miles ago.Doug Thorley Headers, Edelbrock Manifold, Holly 4bbl with electric choke and a mild Camshaft.Gears are not too low (3:55), it drives beautifully on the Freeway.12 Bolt Positraction Rear End.This El Camino starts every time, idles smoothly, has lots of horsepower. Very reliable.Everyone who has driven it says it drives like a new El Camino. Incredible for a 1970 Vintage.
