1972 Chevrolet El Camino

Restore or just a fun driver.

This is a very solid elcamino i bought last year. Unfortunitly low hours at work forces me to sell. Someones going to get a very solid oldie. The gentleman i bought this from had the car since 1992. I was told it is a 350 V8 with a 4bbl. carb. mated to a 3 speed automatic transmission. The car starts great hot or cold with no ticks and runs very smooth on 8 cylinders. It has Power steering and power front disc brakes.

A 300 pay pal deposit due immediately at auction end.

I understand this was a California vehicle earlier in life which would explain why it is so solid. It has only a few minor rust areas I can see. Back in 1994 it was painted and to be a show car it should be restored. You could leave it like it is just to be a driver. The paint is showing some age andneeds to bepainted if you like perfection. It had a couple floor pans years back. They look decent but could have been seam sealed alittle neater. The underside shows very very clean. The frame looks great. The bed shows very decent with some scabbing twards the front of the bed.

I had a new carpet and new front seat cover installed the end of last year. Most things look to work well like the outside lights and wipers. I see the left rear blinker light is out. The emergency brake works. The heater fan doesn't turn on and the stereo needs speakers.

The car also has dual exhaust. Included with the car is a section of newspaper full of classified ads for cars of which the ad for this car appears from 1992.

Mileage shows 89,103 I have no way of knowing if that's original or not.

I think this would make someone a real nice inexpensive driver pretty much the way it is. About the only thing safty wise I would get checked out is the brakes, they work but they haven't been serviced in a long time and the cars been doing some sitting.

Please come look at the car. Any inspections are welcome before bidding ends.I believe ebay may offer an inspection service you can inquire about for those who are far away. as usual selling as is cond. I never registered the car as I drove it on a transport plate so I have the title I got when I bought the car that was just signed and handed to me along with a Bill of Sale.
