Description:

1962 Chevrolet C-10

Up for auction this is very solid very rare 1962 longbed stepside c10 pickup. The body is super straight, no dents or rust anywhere. The original 6cylinder has been replaced with a very good running V8, not sure of displacement, more than likely a 350. I got the truck from the wife of a friend of mine who passed recently. He inherited the truck from his dad who probably had the V8 put in. Casting numbers should identify the cu.in. It is a "3 on the tree" column shift transmission. The front end has been gone thru and aligned, and is equipped with power steering. The bed has a steel plate spot welded over the original wood slats. There is 4 fairly new Wrangler radial all terrain tires with a spare that locks in the bed. All glass is good, and functions well. The pass. Side w/shield has scratch which can be polished out. All electrics and lites work perfectly xcept for horn button which needs new contact ring. You would be hard pressed to find a better non-molested '62 anywhere. This thing gets major attention everywhere I drive it. A new paintjob would make this gal a real head-turner. Or just clearcoat the old patina and forget about it!! This sweetheart will be a great investment for the person who can see past a few primered blemishes. Don't miss out on this one!
