1986 Chevrolet El Camino SS Rust free , purchased from original family
19860000 Chevrolet El Camino
I got the car from the original owner's grandson. He was left the car after the gentleman had passed away. He sold the car because he really needed a full size truck and did not want to run the car into the ground. His grand father loved his El Camino, t shows by the condition of this car.
It was professionally paintedin the last year or so, e spent 6,500 having the work done, nbsp;the car looks fantastic,it had the original paint until then, they didn't paint the door jambs, o you can clearly tell there is no rust in the doors, had it on a lift, heexhaust is brand new, uals, .5 inch, ront to back, hile on the lift I looked at the floors, hey are in amazing shape, bsolutely rock solid, he front suspension is new, pper and lower ball joints, ave been replaced. The car drives incredibly smooth.
The carpet looks to be new also, he seat is original and shows signs of wear on the drivers side, f you had it recovered the interior would look like new, he door panels are in excellent condition, hey are original, ut they are nic, traight, nd have little wear on them. The headliner looks perfect, he dash is also in very good condition.
The car has a throaty sound to it, tarts right up, o noises, hifts as it should, he brakes feel great, he car drives straight, ll four tires are new, t has GTA Trans Am wheels on it, hich fit the cars time period.
The car is 29 years old, o it has a few items that are not perfect, he windows work, ut they are slow, wr door locks work, hey are also slow, he horn and the turn signals are not working right now, ut I am looking into it, will try to get them working, ut be prepared if I don't get to it, m sure its nothing major. The ac works, eat works, ll the gauges work, nterior lights too.
This car is in great shape for its age, hink about what most 10 year old cars look like usually, ut as I mentioned, he previous owner bought the car new, nd put a lot of time into preserving the condition of the car. If you want a totally restored car this is not it, t is a very well keep original car that has been painted one time in its 29 years, t looks and sounds great, ts a great investment car that is sure to continue to appreciate in value.
