1966 Chevy Pickup 4x4 4spd, rebuilt balanced # matching 283, 2 barrel carb, 4spd, factory paint, factory original truck. I am the 3rd owner, and my first truck, purchased when i was 16, nearly 20 years ago now. Came out of a barn where it had spent the prior 20 years. Bought it with 60k mi, had a 350 in it that i ran for a couple years before i rebuilt the original 283 and dropped it in. Only i put on 327 valve covers instead. In good shape, really rare 3/4 ton. Put new wood and stainless strips in the bed around 2001, pieced it together in the following several years, getting OEM parts for Christmas and birthdays. It was my high school project, but was finished when i graduated. Floors have POR15 on them, and repainted, under the rubber mat. Its been in car shows, 4th of July parades, and had many memories over the years made in it. Not interested in seeing it go, but to an excellent home only, someone who will keep it original. Needs a couple things: Transfer case needs resealed, a bad syncro in 2nd gear, and some minor rust in the hood. Body isnt perfect, small sealed rust pockets in hood, surface rust here and there, handful of minor things. Sadly, i put a very small golf ball sized dent in the box above the taillight a couple years ago during a forest fire evacuation, and during the craziness i bumped a tree in the dark.But if you know these trucks, they are solid through and through. Any questions, feel free to ask. As I mentioned before, only to a good home will this truck go, someone who will keep it stock original. I don't mind offers, but no low-ball bids.
