1979 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 1500 Cheyenne

Offered For Sale: 1979 Chevrolet K10 Pickup, Short Bed, 4x4.
Two owner vehicle. Cheyenne (Z84) trim package. 4 speed manual transmission (SM465). NP205 (gear on gear) transfer case. New Goodwrench 350 engine (part # 10067353) long block, 4 bolt main, with 31731 miles since professional installation. At the time of installation the clutch disc, pressure plate and throw out bearing were replaced. The water pump, motor mounts, fuel pump, and several other items were also replaced. I have all receipts and documentation. The engine runs like new. It uses no oil, doesn't smoke or leak. The transfer case, transmission, rear end all operate as they should.
This truck goes down the road very smoothly. The steering doesn't pull. The cab is quiet, without rattles. It accelerates nicely and has new brakes. Easy to drive on the highway or in town. Four wheel drive works great. Hubs engage easily.
Original body, never in an accident, never repainted. Bumpers, moldings, grille, and other trim are also all original.
The interior is in very good condition. New carpet. Headliner is like new. Has an original Delco AM/FM cassette radio which works fine. Windshield has recently been replaced and has the windshield antenna.
Air Conditioner works great. Has been professionally converted from R12 to R134A refrigerant.
Other items that have been replaced include:
4 New Hankook ATM 31X10.5X15 10 ply LT tires, mounted on the original Rally Wheels. Has a spare tire and jack.
Brake system was completely rebuilt. New front pads, rear shoes, wheel cylinders, rotors, drums, master cylinder and seals. Work totaling $931.23. New exhaust system, 2.5 inch dual exhaust, manifold to tail pipe. New Thrush Mufflers. Sounds nice.
NOS (new old stock) GM tail gate. Ready to paint.
4 new KYB Mono Max shock absorbers.
The original carburetor (Rochester Quadrajet) was professionally rebuilt and performs like new.

To many experts, the 1979 K10 was the high point in Chevy quality, style and componentry. A K10 with a SM465 transmission and NP205 transfer case is considered bullet proof and makes a terrific off road vehicle.The K10 I am selling has rust in the usual places, but it can be repaired. I am including the necessary repair panels with the sale. The rest of the vehicle is in very good original condition.
Once a vehicle has been repainted, it is impossible for the next owner to know if any body work or rust repair has been done properly. Unfortunately, because of their age, most 1979 K10's have already been repainted.
