1968 Camaro Original Blue Car 63027 miles
1968 Chevrolet Camaro
1968 Camaro, 6 cylinder, 3 speed manual transmission. This car was sitting for 33 years, I purchased it from the second owner ((family), he passed a number of years ago and it remained in their family) who purchased it in 1972. The hood and associated parts were changed on the car in the mid 1970's, so all the metal is original GM, but not necessarily original to the car. The wiring was chewed up by the rodents that resided for a long time. I have reconnected some of the wiring to allow ignition to the coil and that's it. I have to bump start it at the starter. The key does operat the ignition but does not start the car, once started the key does shut it off. The rust is negligible, the only rust is in the trunk pan and limited to a few quarter size areas at most. The pans are in perfect condition! As far as rust goes, the rest of the car is in great condition, the bottom of the rear wheel wells are in need of repairs and of course the driver rear quarter section will need to be replaced. I have driven this car and racked up a few miles, It fires up immediately, hi idle and choke work as they should, low idle is flawless, no stumbles in the carb. at all. Transmission shifts thru all the gears as it should, plenty of clutch. I replaced the front wheel cylinders and bled the brakes and they work great. I have had the car up to 40 mph and it drives okay down the road with a little bit or road wander. The tires are in need of replacement, these are spares that I had laying around. When I purchased the car it was on blocks. I have two of the original wheels and 3 of the original dog dish hub caps that are included with the car. The gas tank is in perfect condition! The sub-frames are in great condition with only surface rust. The hood, trunk driver door and a few small misc. areas appear to be the original paint, the rest of the car was repainted at one point. The interior is original as well, I installed a new carpet kit, the rodents that took up residence totally destroyed the carpet, i just did a quick install, it still needs to be trimmed and the sill plates installed. I'm working on obtaining a title and expect it this week. The VIN has been inspected and came back clean with no issues. The car will be sold with a clean, clear NM title in my name! Please feel free to as any questions, I want to make sure there is full disclosure. These videos should answer most questions.
Thanks!
