1986 Corvette Pace Car
This is a 1986 Corvette Pace Car. Very rare Metallic Gold factory paint, there were 7315 Pace Cars produced in 1986 and only 163 were painted Metallic Gold. Tan top is in very good condition with no rips or stains. Black leather interior has been updated with no rips and carpet has been updated. Automatic transmission shifts with no issues. Brakes are good and the car drives straight down the road. Corvette has brand new tires with only about 500 miles on them and a brand new alternator. The pop-up headlights work perfect! The electronic dash works fine and is bright, power windows work great. The paint on the car looks goo, it is original paint and has some nicks and small spider cracks on bumpers. I only use the car 3 or 4 times a month the rest of the time it is in the garage and covered. I am a car nut and Ive owned a number of Corvettes and Muscle cars and this is a nice " driver quality " Corvette. This is a really good looking Corvette that gets lots of compliments at local meets. You wont see any other Gold Pace Cars which is one of the reasons i bought it.
Issues with the Corvette: The A/C blows cool, I have not had it charged or looked into.The transmission will drip a few drops of fluid if it sits for a week or longer. I have not had to add fluid ever, I have not had it diagnosed.The Corvette has the usual squeaks associated with a 33 years old car. If I kept the car I would replace original shocks.
