Hey Guys up for sale is my non hit 66 L72 Red Red roadster.
I owned it for 18 years a real nice original condition mid-year This is not another over restored repop trailer queen with made in China and Korean replacement parts. This car is about originality motor, body, fenders, radiator, door panels, dash pads, carpet, knobs, etc.. It is not a 300hp made up small block to be a big block either Itssickens me that more big blocks are running around now then were made in the day ...especially 67 435's lol.
People always want to talk about paperwork like the 67 era tank stickers. How nice? ever try getting one off. Try dropping the tank that's fun or seeing it through the gas cap well. Ok knock yourself out I have the POP plate proving its authenticity Born a big block! Most people in the day chucked them as soon as the 36 month warranty was up. The Previous owners kept it as did I and will pass it along to the next owner March 66 build date June 20 66 delivery
To the nuts and bolts.
Motor was rebuild a few years back, maybe 4 to 6 k on motor, Note high healthy idle oil pressure in picture. A real monster of a motor especially with 411 gears. M20 wide ratio tranny recently rebuilt with new clutch etc. On Frame restoration was done years ago and yes no rust, rot, holes in frame. Bottom end looks good. Have the boat anchor useless top which has sat in the same spot all these years is included Also I replaced 4 calibers and brakes hand brake works well. Everything works Car does have squeaks and rattles if you want quiet go to Chevy and buy a C7 or the new Lambo barf looking C8
This thing is side pipe loud . No stealth operation here but at least they can't say well we didn't hear you! lol Was painted back in the day a tad darker shade of red. Im not a fan of rally red so it didn't bother me. A 66 chevypassenger red nice color But the critics tell you oh needs to be correct. Ok ? Whatever This is the red it should have been painted but to each his own. Body is 100 percent original no one piece nose or patch meal.plastic.
Grab under the fenders and you will find the bonding marks. Nice to see original chrome and SS steel for a change not our old tin cans coming back as new shinny cheap fenders and body trim that most mid years are adorned with these days Do have a boat load of trophies at events and car shows, people love it and pass nice comments, however being over judged by middle age gold chasing annal knuckle heads doesn't float my boat. So I still laugh my ass off watching some of these guys gingerly driving their pristine overdone repop's and thinking that's cool. WowWe!

I drive this beast fast and hard with dirt dust and noise. As it was meant to be driven.. Do i bring it home dirty Hell Yeah clean it after every use like some do? No I wait for the first nice day and pull out the hose. Classic 60's Muscle a real 450 hp Engine When built in the USA meant somethingand foreign cars were wind up toys Our President would be proud to cruise down thehighway with the top down flipping a benz the bird. lol
Then we have the nonsense of the what horsepower it is? 425 hp or is it 450 hp Up to late Oct 65 it was advertised as Turbo-Jet 427- 450hp @ 5800 rpm.. Remember the 65 396 was 425hp Cool but then some weak knee GM execs who were too wimpy and frightened of the insurance companies. buckling under lowered the power rating to 425 hp @5400 Stroke of a pen Gee wiz Rocket Science Its the same motor!!!!! so that's why u see the 450 hp flags on my air clean screw the politicly in-correct NCRS If you want to peel them off and buy the 425hp flags more power to you. While I still drive this car the high horse flags remain
