1964 Chevrolet Other Pickups

I bought this piece of junk frombowtie_rods a couple months ago without looking at it in person. What a mistake. So yes, shame on me. So here it is for sale. Below is the original listing. Later when I have more time I'll add all my repairs of what I did just to get it on the road. Just an FYI The truck now has new 4" drop springs in the front and 5" in back because the previous drop was plain butchery. Below is all a lie..so enjoy! But.... If you're interested place a bid.

Thanks!

Original Listing from December.

1964 C10 SWB Feetside Big Back Window Custom Cab Truck, powered buy great running 283 backed up by a smooth shifting 350 TH Automatic Transmission with power steering, This truck has spent its whole life in Tennessee and is pretty solid has had one repaint about 30 years ago sporting a great Patina now, its wearing all of it original sheet metal with the exception of both outer rockers which I replaced and spotted the paint in. All of the drivability stuff has been taken care of new wheel cylinders, new rear drums, new brake hoses and most of the hard lines are new along with a new master cylinder, new fuel tank, new fuel lines and sending unit, new water pump, HEI distributor, plugs and wires, new headers and new exhaust. The truck was originally a 3 speed on the column and I replaced it with a rebuilt 350TH Automatic in doing so I reused the original manual column for the shifter. For the suspension it was lowered in the rear using 5" drop springs and 2" lowering blocks and cut springs up front, Rolling on new tires on all four corners with a new set of factory chrome hub caps. The interior has new carpet, new door sill plates and a new seat cover. New windshield and gaske, new rear window and gaske, all the door windows are in great shape and roll up and down as the suppose too, doors open and close nicely. All the electric stuff works as it should Headlights, Tail lights, Brake lights, Turn Signals and Heater Blower the factory AM radio is in place but have never tried to turn it on so not sure if it works or not.
This is a really cool old truck that runs and drives out great with a killer look.

Yes, I would agree that there is a reason why bowtie_rods vehicles are on ebay. hoping for out of state people to bit. Got me.
Yes, I would agree that's his pitch is that he claims that "all of the drivability has been taken care of" Got me.
Yes. Also, don't fall in love with the "killer stance" either. The Killer stance on this truck consisted of overly chopped front springs, cut and removed bump stop bosses, whiped out ball joints, really bad control arm bushings, no sway bar, and the rear end laying on the bump stops and banging off the frame. The front springs literally fell out when I lifted it up on the hoist. I drove this truck around the block twice and thought I was going to kill myself. But remember "This is a really cool old truck that runs and drives out great with a killer look and all the drivability has been all taken care of") boy was that the farthestfrom the truth. Keep in mind I paid him what I did because all the "drivability was taken care of" and "the truck runs and drives out great" and was the farthest from it. Also, I had three phone conversations totaling over an hour about the truck....all just one big lie after another. I guess I also learned that just because someone says they fixed something in a listing doesn't mean it was done right, or even did it at all.
It took me forever to get this thing to stop spewing oil, power steering fluid, and trans fluid from leaking everywhere. (which I was told on the phone that the truck doesn't leak any oil...along with many other things. Lie after lie)
Yes, that is all he does is drop em down and claims he does a bunch of other work too.
Yes agree, Just because someone says they did something doesn't necessarily mean they actually did it, or even did a good job. This is proof.
Anyways, thanks for asking about the history of the vehicle. Below is a list of everything that has been replaced.
Rebuilt TH350 Transmission / column shift attached to trans / 2 new front 4" drop springs / 2 new lower front control arms / 2 new lower control arm bushings / 2 new front bump stops / 2 new lower ball joints / 2 new 5" drop rear springs / 4 new tires / 4 new hub caps / power steering pressure hose / new alternator / new spark plugs / new ign wires / new trans kick down cable / 2 new front brake hoses / both front wheel cylinders / front brake shoes / front brake drums / both rear wheel cylinders / rear brake shoes / rear drums / new master cylinder / some new brake hardlines / new fuel tank / new sending unit / used HEI distributor / new choke cable / new water pump / new sill plates / new carpet / new seat cover / new windshield / new back window / new headers / new mufflers / new exhaust / new outer rockers both sides.
It needs: could use a swaybar / turn signal switch works but a little tired and have to hold it down sometimes / radio does not work / needs a heater blower motor
