Description:

1949 Chevrolet Other Pickups

1949 Chevrolet 6700 school bus.

37 feet long

Superior brand body.

Original seats removed. Driver and bench seat from a minivan now installed.

Originally from Safford High School in Arizona.

4 speed manual transmission (hard to get into 3rd gear at times)

Hi/Lo rear end

Stovebolt 6 cylinder engine. New thermostat.

Radiator is currently out to check for a leak.

Starts (needs starter fluid if it hasn't run in a while), runs (idles nicely), drives and stops.

Tires hold air.

Body is in good condition. Minor rot. Only a small amount on the rear corner and some in the floor area by the driver's seat.

There is a hole punched in the ceiling from what I assume was a previous owner running a wood stove chimney through. Frame is in very nice condition. This is attributed to it spending most of its life in AZ and not being exposed to the New England winters.

The electrical will need to be re run, as the lights do not work.

I drive it every now and then down my driveway. I drove it 12 miles when I moved to a different town. Mechanical gauges seemed to work.

Obviously it needs TLC, but is a great starting point for a skoolie conversion, party bus, or restoration project.

Has Massachusetts title. Last registered in CT. Will be sold with CT Bill of Sale.

Bus is for sale locally. Therefore I reserve the right to end the auction early.
