Up for auction or Buy it now is this super solid 66 Chevelle Super Sport 396 clone. Although this is not a original Super sport this car has all of the SS features with more horsepower as well as a fraction of the cost of a real Super sport. This car was meant to be driven not hidden!! I lucked out and found this car sitting in a heated garage were it had been stored for 7+ years. I pulled the car out of storage and brought it home and proceededto go through the drive train and give it a full tune up and fluid changes. This car is a beast! The motor is a period correct 396 big block bored .30 over with 10.5.1 forged pistons,High volume oil pump,Dual roller timing chain,Comp Roller camshaft and lifters,LS-7 square port heads, Winters original G.M LS-7 intake with a 850 Holley carb and Mallory Comp 9000 distributor. Has Hooker Super Comp Headers and 3inch Exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. The transmissionis a built TH400 with a 3000 stall converter. The rear end is a factory 12blt with 3.73 gears and posi. The motor sounds awesome with a choppy idle and power for days. Run's great in traffic on pump gas. The transmission shifts nice and firm./ The car never overheat, holds great oil pressure and has great street manners. But when you give it gas hold on because this thing moves!! I took it out Xmas shopping in traffic and it performedgreat. The body is very solid and straight showing no signs of rust at all. The paint is older and shows some minor blem's here and there but overall looks great for a driver. Check out the pics! The interior is in excellentcondition with factory bucket seats,B&M Quick silver shifte, Autometer guages. Factory AM radio. Everything works on the car. All the lights and blinkers. The heater is by-passed for summer cruising but can easilybe hooked back up with 2 hoses. The car has all the correct SS badging and SS hood. Has all new front suspension and brakes. The brakes are manual drums still but work great. Car would defiantlybenefitfrom a disc brake conversion and power steering. Has the power steering box just needs pump and brackets. Also has Weld wheels all the way around with good tread. If you have been looking for a bad ass 66 Chevelle that is turn key and wont break the bank you might want to check out this bad boy!! This is trulya turn key cruiser not some built to flip car with a ton of problems. Hit they key and cruise it over to your buddies and lay down some stripes in front of his house while he is working on his car lol!! I have priced this car to sell!! Great car for a great price!!
