1972 Chevrolet Pro Street V8 Vega GT. A TRUE GT. Zero rust and Zero body fill! All original sheet metal! All new weather stripping and door/hatch seals. New door hinge pins . This car is super tight and solid! Paint is 4yrs old. The 385 CI Small Block is making 477 HP at crank and runs awesome (see dyno sheet in photos). Has turbo 350 transmission that has been modified to full manual shift. B&M Quick Click Shifter. The TCI Model 2450 8" racing torque converter stalls at 4500 rpm. Narrowed GM 12 bolt rear with 3:73 Richmond gears and 3 link ladder bar suspension with Koni coil-over shocks. Stock front suspension with new springs and Performance Engineering adjustable drag shocks. 5 lug rotors and disc brakes on front. New Mickey Thompson 28"x12.50"x15" rear tires on brushed aluminum Center Line wheels. Griffin aluminum radiator with two 2250 cfm PermaCool electric fans (pushing) with 18" mechanical fan (pulling). A separate external cooler for transmission is located underneath passenger floor board with built -in electric fan and thermostat controller. Engine was professionally built by Terry Walters Racing Engines (see invoice/details in photos). Has Scat forged steel stroker crank and Icon racing pistons. Piston skirts have been moly coated. GM double-hump heads (have been ported and polished), angle plugs, titanium valves and screw-in studs with guide plates. The mechanical flat tappetcamshaft by Comp Cams has .555 lift and was nitrided by Comp Cams when ground. Crane Gold roller rockers with poly locks. It has an MSD 7AL-2 ignition with MSD pro-billet distributor, MSD 8mm wires and Accel Super coil. The Weiand tunnel ram has two 450 cfm Holley 4 barrel carbs. Edelbrock high performance mechanical fuel pump. I have owned the car for 12 years and it's a blast to drive. Definitely an attention getter! Lots of "thumbs-ups" when I drive it. This car is 100% street legal! Everything on this car is in working order including all the lights, wipers, horn, gauges, switches, etc. No surprises here, this car is totally awesome.
