1969 Chevrolet C-10 --

Pickups represent the fastest-growing segment of the old car hobby, and you can get into a cool vintage hauler for not a lot of cash with vehicles like this 1969 Chevrolet C10. Nicely finished in a way that you'll be proud to show, it's got a great-running 350 cubic inch V8, a cool color combination, and a comfortable interior that makes it feel like a Camaro with a bed. It's easy to see why these are so popular. Glossy black paint is a great choice on the square-jawed C10, imposing but not over-the-top, and it highlights the fact that these are some of the best-looking trucks ever built. So many of them were used up and thrown away, but this one looks quite straight and clean, with sheetmetal that lines up rather well and excellent prep that gives the finish a deeper, richer look. They kept the bodywork totally stock, including the hood, which includes the spine down the center, a Chevy truck trademark for many years and a good way to maintain the family resemblance. All the factory stainless still runs down its flanks, which really dresses it up. A billet grille adds to the clean, uncluttered look and tinted windows certainly help with that vibe. The bed is nicely refinished, but not so nice that you'll hesitate to throw anything back there, and it comes with a full tonneau cover that gives it a finished look and keeps your gear out of sight. The bumpers are shiny, there is a hitch out back, and the whole truck just has a charismatic look that's hard to resist. A black bench seat gives this pickup a much more functional and comfortable interior, and it's been dressed to take advantage of that fact. There are silver door inserts that match the exterior trim and a fat steering wheel that adds to the sporty demeanor. The soft parts are in good condition with an OEM-looking finish and simple patterns, and plush carpets keep it feeling tight and quiet inside when you're on the road. Original gauges are joined by a set of Auto Gauge auxiliary dials and a tach in the original openings, so it looks almost seamless. An AM/FM/CD stereo looks like it was born in the center of the dash and cold A/C uses modern hardware and the original controls so it looks OEM. Nothing works better than cubic inches to get a pickup truck rolling, and this awesome C10 uses a 350 cubic inch small block that definitely delivers the goods. With a Holley 4-barrel carburetor, GM aluminum intake manifold, Vortec center-bolt heads, an MSD distributor, and various other upgrades, it's a great runner that moves the half-ton with ease. It looks tidy under the hood, especially with some chrome dress-up and a late-model serpentine belt drive system for the accessories. It was obviously built to drive! A stout TH400 3-speed automatic transmission feeds then original 12-bolt rear end, so you'll never break it and the combination was proven decades ago. The exhaust system is tucked into the frame for good ground clearance and uses Flowmaster mufflers for a great performance sound. The suspension is largely stock, so it rides and handles like it should, and the fat 265/75/15 white-letter radials on chrome Rally wheels give it the perfect stance. A high-quality truck that's turn-key, ready to enjoy, this Chevy gets all the important stuff exactly right. Call today!
