For sale is a 1968 Chevy Camaro RestoMod. This car began as an empty shell i purchased, i built this car for my wife and have worked on it for 4 years before completing it. I am selling this car because we are in the market for a new car and no longer drive this one.
This car has had all the sheet metal replaced, new front headers, new lower valance, new grill, new left and right parking lights, new radiator support, new left and right fenders, new wheel houses, new cowl induction hood with cowl grill, new insulation under the hood, new left and right doors, new left and right quarter, new trunk lid, new floor panels. The complete car has been equipped with Dynamat sound deadening insulation on the roof, floors, cowl, firewall and trunk. All new body bushings. Engine cradle removed, grind-ed, painted and rust proofed. We have installed a completely new suspension including tubular upper and lower control arms, new steering box, new disc brakes all around, all new brake and fuel lines, new engine harness, new battery, new alternator, new water pump, all new hoses, new carburetor 780 Holley, custom built 383 Stroker by performance Chevy Parts, roughly 440 HP, has an aluminum radiator with 2 12in electric fans, has a Malory electronic ignition, brand new wiper motor pump, wiper transmission linkage, new wiper blades and arms, new front windshield, brand new dash pad, completely new Interior, new center console. All switches on the dash are brand new. New Vintage air conditioning, New Vintage USA Gauges. New cigarette lighter and filament, new ash tray, All wood panels are new, custom trunk mat carpet, power master high torque alternator, custom panel bowtie, reproduction AM/FM stereo with AUX, radio antennae included but not installed so as not to disrupt the aesthetic of the vehicle, custom aluminum billet taillight housing, LED rear lights, custom built aluminum GT gas door, completely rebuilt 12 bolt rear with 373 gears, new leaf springs, new front and rear air shocks, new front springs, new 3 Speed TH350 automatic transmission by JEG, new flywheel, new torque converter, new motor mounts, new transmission mount, new emergency brake cables, new emergency brake assembly, new drive shaft universal, new transmission shifter cable, new wood steering wheel, new sun visors, new rear view mirror, new exhaust. Rear wheels and tires are new Riddlers and size 275/30ZR20. Front wheels and tires are also new Riddlers and size 245/40R18. The front wheel house has been modified so the wheels to do not rub against it. The front windshield is new all other glass is original, has some minor scuffs. New door outer handles and locks. New Master Cylinder, new scorpion slotted disc brakes, new brake boosters, new body rear shock relocation kit, new rear chassis mount bracket, new gas tank, gas tank straps and fuel sensor.
Everything in the vehicle works as intended, all lights, signals, gauges, wipers, AC, heater, windshield wiper, and radio. The headers have indentations to make room for the angle sparkplug heads, this does not take away from the performance of the vehicle and should not be a cause for concern. There is a switch on the steering column to bypass the electric fan sensor and turn it on. The horn works but needs new contact spring in the steering wheel, i never got around to getting it. If i was going to keep the car the only improvement i would make to it is to change the belt to a turpentine one piece belt system, however this is an inexpensive and easy upgrade if the purchaser wishes to. The car runs great and sounds amazing considering it is a 51 year old car. These Camaros' always retain their value and you will be hard pressed to find one of similar quality at a similar price. This car will last you a very long time as long as you take proper care of it, and i can promise it is a real head turner. The reserve on this vehicle is EXTREMELY low so get it while you can.
