Description:

1963 Chevrolet Nova SS Convertible

I recently purchased this 1963 Nova SS Convertible from the estate of a local gentleman who owned the car since 1974.
This car has been off the road and stored under a tarp in one of his sheds for the past 30 years. The mileage on the speedometer reads 75,243 miles. We pulled it out of hiding and thoroughly washed it inside and out. The old decayed carpeting and mats were removed for you to see the condition of the front, rear and non-existing trunk floor pan.
As you can see by my photos this is basically a parts car that can be used for all of it's convertible parts or with it's cowl, title & tags to be used as a professional coupe to convertible conversion project.
This SS convertible rolls & steers but has no brakes and has not ran in decades. The 6-cylinder/powerglide drive line is all original but the motor is locked up.
The car still retains all of it's Super Sport equipment including the outer trim, read-out instrument gauge cluster, SS glove box emblem and floor shift console with shifter. I did not receive nor do I have the bucket seats or rear seat.
The hood & doors open, close and latch. The clear window glass is all uncracked but the side windows are frozen in the up position and I did not want to break anything by forcing them down.
As you can see by my photos, every piece of body sheet metal has some type of rust issue with the majority needing replacement. The floor pans are original and do have large area's of rust through.
The folding convertible top assembly is power operated and I have not tried to put it up or down. Both the header and top bows are clean and straight and are in undamaged condition.
The trim tag or data plate on the firewall tells us this Nova has paint code: 912 (Silver Blue) Trim Code 714 (Black vinyl Bucket Seats) Accessories FCDMZ: F Tinted Windshield, C: Padded Dash, D: Lighting Group, M: Powerglide Transmission, Z: Super Sport Option.
I want you to understand that in my opinion this car is unrestorable and is being sold as a parts car or to be used for a conversion. We all know that anything can be restored with enough time and money but I do not want to mislead you. If you are seriously interested and need to examine the vehicle you are more than welcome and I recommend that you do so. The car is located in Uniontown, Pa. 15401.
This 1963 Chevy Nova SS Convertible comes with a clean clear Pennsylvania title.
