Up for sale is one of the most solid Squarebody C10's I've come across. It's a 1986 C10 Silverado so was a top of the line package at the time, which features things such as all power options (brakes, steering, windows, locks etc.), tilt wheel, a/c and heat, the aluminum tailgate, along with the rest of the aluminum trim inside and out and other miscellaneous features. I picked up the truck originally out on a ranch in the field and saw it needed to be rescued. It was completely all original never touched before mechanically or cosmetically. Hadn't been ran or driven in a few years when I found it. The biggest thing that caught my eye was the fact that it has no cancer anywhere through the truck and know how rare and hard it is to find in these trucks for it being 30 years old. It was a New Mexico farm truck its whole life so it's understandable. After the sale of another truck, it finally gave me the opportunity financially to start building this truck and bring it back to life. I originally started with getting it all running and dialed in almost perfectly. I replaced the battery with a high amp battery because I had plans of installing a large sound system in it. I replaced the plugs, wires, cap and rotor, removed the emissions since it's unneeded in a 30 year old truck, had the carb and timing done just right to get it all running great. I replaced the rear main seal along with a few other seals these trucks commonly leak from so this truck doesn't leak even after sitting in my garage. Living in Texas, a/c is a must so I went ahead and remade all the aluminum pressure lines so I didn't have to worry about the original lines having any leaks. I also had the air lines inside the cab and air ducts all cleaned out and worked on prior to converting the air to r34. Once I did all this, the truck ran and drove great along with having great working a/c and heat that blow both hard and hot/cold to drive this truck in any weather and drive it anywhere. This truck has the original 305 it came with and the odometer shows 43K miles, I'm sure it has turned over and is now at 143K miles. Previous owner installed a rebuilt 400 trans and shift kit, which sadly I don't have paperwork for but I can assure you that it shifts and runs great after doing all of this mechanically. Once I completed all the mechanical aspect of it, I moved onto the cosmetics. All the engine work was done in December of 2017 so this is all less than a year old. Just only two weeks old are the brand new wheels and tires. They're US Mag Standard wheels sitting on brand new Nitto tires with about 100 miles on the set installed at the end of September 2018. They're 20x8 in the front and 20x9.5 with the perfect backspacing all around. One small issue I ran into later was the fact that I didn't originally plan to lower it so when I went with the 5/7 drop, the front tires did rub on the old 15x8 rallies but not on the new 20's, but I did have to remove the wheel wells and modified the inner fenders so it no longer rubbed or hit on large dips from the larger tires from before. The body does have slight damage on the passenger side of the cab right behind the door that follows on a little piece of the bed but the bed has the most damage but it's small and doesn't interfere with the way the door closes but it was done by the previous owner and don't know the story behind it but the damage is hidden for the most part under the side body molding. The side body moldings, grille, headlight bezels, and tail light lenses were the exterior cosmetics that were replaced new. As far as the interior goes, almost nothing went untouched inside. I only say "almost everything" because I never got around to replacing the original aluminum dash trim and the dash bezel. Other than that, everything was either replaced new or redone. It's common to have interior plastics that easily crack with age so all of them that were cracked were bought from LMC Truck new. The rest of the plastics were all removed and repainted/dyed all with the same color blue so nothing was either faded or different shades of blue. The door panels are original and were painted that same color blue. The driver door does have this slight crack in it but felt it was unnecessary to replace because I wasn't building a show truck, but a great looking driver. The carpet on the door panels were replaced, and the inserts were redone as well. The power locks do work but on the driver door, the lock fell of the clip so it just hangs in the door and haven't bothered to take it apart and fix so they both do work but only the passenger door locks with the switch. The driver door must be locked with the key until the lock is put back on its clip. The windows weren't working when I got the truck so I went ahead and replaced the window motors and regulators in both doors so they work well. New carpet was installed and done all the way up to the rear of the cab where paint shows usually. The headliner and dash were completely rewrapped in a blue vinyl material. The dash did have a slight crack right down the middle but can't tell with the padding under the vinyl. The sun visors were done in the same pattern as the inserts of the door. The original bench seat was redone with a new pattern and padding on the seat and is very comfortable compared to how the seat felt before. All the glass was replaced with the exception of the small vent windows with clear glass with no tint. I had custom kick panels made to have 6.5 inch speakers placed in the kick panels, covered them in blue carpet, had custom boxes made to place 6x9 speakers in the original place of the 4x6 speakers, and a box made to hide the wiring of the 4 channel amp that powers the speakers so sounds nice and clear. I did cut the dash bezel to accommodate the head unit I installed. It has Bluetooth, wireless calling, auxiliary, CD, and satellite radio if you'd like. I installed a chrome aftermarket steering wheel along doing a new billet tilt lever and column shifter, and also a chrome turn signal switch and module. The cruise control does NOT work but never looked into it. This truck does have dual tanks and they do work but I was afraid that the tank was dirty from sitting so I don't use the passenger side tank. I would recommend dropping and cleaning the tank as I did the driver side one but wasn't a necessity for me but does have the option if you ever want to use it. The suspension was all done the right way. It's aMcgaughy's 5.5/7 drop from Switch Suspension in Arizona, which includes 2.5" drop spindles, 3" lowering springs, rear axle flip kit, drop shackles, c-notch, bump stops, sway bar brackets, and nitrogen gas shocks in the rear with KYB Gas-a-just shocks up front. While the truck was torn apart, I had thebushings, tie rods, front brake pads replaced as well. The rear shock mounts were cracked from being a farm so had them fixed and rewelded. This truck runs, drives and rides great with everything I've done to this truck and has not once left me stranded. It is a great looking daily driver with all the original patina that took 30 years to get this great look it has today. The bed is even in great shape with little to no dents, the largest being on the passenger wheel well but the rest of it is in absolutely great shape and no rust. I found a bed mat for this truck and threw it in to protect it from any further scratches but it doesn't even have rust in the bed floor under the mat. It's all around a solid truck that's getting harder to find in this condition along with everything I've redone or replaced on this truck. All this truck needs now is a new owner/driver. Only selling to build something new and start fresh again. Everything I've listed has all been done after December of 2017 and the interior was completed in February but the bench seat was just installed in August 2018 because I initially had bucket seats and a center console. I originally built the truck with bucket seats out of a 1998 Tahoe that both have power options along with a custom center console specifically made for this truck that consisted of a pair of 6x9 speakers, a 12 inch subwoofer, and a pair of aluminum cup holders. The audio I no longer have but will sell the console and bucket seats to go with the truck if the buyer is interested in having those instead of buying the truck with both sets of interiors. I had custom brackets made for the seats to sit flush with the uneven floors these trucks come with and also the harnesses I had made to have them both working are still hooked up and sit under the bench seat that it already cut through the carpet so only need to take out the bench seat, bolt down the buckets and console, and just hook them right up.
