Meticulous frame off restoration.
1956 Chevrolet Nomad --
Body off frame restored to be a show car that you can drive anywhere you want to go. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Under the hood is a meticulously done show stopper. Has the same vibrant blue glossy paint on the engine bay and underside of the hood. In the middle sits a gleaming motor with a set of dual quads on top. It's a 350 with Edelbrock aluminum heads, intake and carbs. The intake and carbs are plated. The brackets, pulleys, compressor... and alternator are polished. Uses a serpentine belt system. The master and power brake booster are chromed. Heat and a/c lines are hidden behind the fenderwell. The core support, big radiator, condenser and overflow are all matched brushed aluminium. Has dual electric fans. Other features are coated headers, battery cut off, Lokar dipstick, MSD coil. EXTERIOR: Beautiful colors, the blue is vibrant and goes great with the silver. Both colors have a polished clear coat finish. Body is arrow straight with excellent fit. Every single piece of exterior chrome and trim is new or restored- bumpers, grill, hood ornament, taillights, all the moldings around the glass etc. The door jambs are painted just as slick as the outside. It has new weather strips and windshield. No wires in the jambs to the doors for the power windows, it uses contacts. Everything fits and lines up really nicely. Has a nice looking set of Torque Thrust wheels with the black wall tires. INTERIOR: I'm sitting in the car right now and it is like brand new. Right in front of me is a gorgeous dash- all new chrome trim, blue paint is slick, has a great set of gauges from Dakota Digital that light up blue. The steering wheel is the original style but it's been made smaller and it's on a tilt column. The Vintage Air and Heat utilizes the original style controls, even the shift indicator lens has been changed to match the overdrive pattern. The upholstery is the ultra leather material like the Airlines use. It is all professionally installed and stitched. All of the interior chrome is new. Headliner is bright white with the chrome ribs. Features include power windows, billet gas pedal and retractable 3 pt seat belts. In back there is a real nifty blue vintage Pepsi cooler that actually houses the relocated battery. UNDERSIDE: Solid metal. Floors are undercoated and the chassis is satin black. Up front the suspension is all rebuilt and has disc brakes, gas shocks, a sway bar, CPP steering box and Unisteer rack & pinion. In back it has sway bar, new shocks, new gas tank. Everything looks proper- lines are neatly run, has e- brake cables, new dual exhaust and a 700R-4 overdrive trans.
