1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS

This car runs strong, looks good, and drives great. Smooth, classic lines run the length of the car, catch the light, and draw your eye. Romping on the gas will put a big grin on your face, and a smile on the face of anyone watching. Considered by many to be the best-looking muscle car of all time, the 1970 Chevelle has smooth, graceful curves that flow down the length of the car. The look will never go out of style. This car is presented in a classic combination of Red paint, black SS stripes and chrome. Up front there is a black SS grill flanked by four headlights and is underlined by a sharp looking chrome bumper. The cowl induction hood is held down by hood pins so the engine doesn't try to jump out, and makes for an intimidating view from the front or the side. There are bold SS stripes, which are always a good look on a muscle car, and it has a wicked stance that says it means business. There are SS 396 badges on the fenders and the chrome back bumper has a blacked out rub strip with SS emblems on it and there are big black wheels tucked up under the fenders to complete the picture. Open the door and you will find a nicely redone interior that is both good looking and comfortable. The Black door panel sets the tone with a smooth upper panel and pleated center with chrome piping along both the top and bottom and an SS emblem toward the front. The bucket seats look trick all in black with two stripes running up them that mimic the SS stripes on the body. A deep dish three spoke steering wheel sits in front of a super clean stock SS dashboard that looks brand new with the speedo in the center and the tach off to the left with engine gauges surrounding them. A head unit for the AM/FM/CD player sits where the original radio was and ventilation controls include an updated R134 air conditioning system. A white shift ball for the 4-speed manual transmission rises out of the center console just begging to be stirred around while crisp and clean carpets and headliner tie it all together. Pull the pins and pop the hood and you will find a very healthy 402 cubic inch motor nestled down in a neat and clean engine compartment. The cowl induction hood is functional and gathers up plenty of fresh cool air to feed the beast. A black air cleaner assembly directs the air to a Holley 4-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock intake manifold. Chrome valve covers add a splash of flash to the engine and red spark plug wires fired by an MSD ignition look good too. Belts and hoses are all new and a 6-blade fan helps keep things running cool. A 4-speed gearbox sends the power back to a 12-bolt rear end with an aluminum cover. The rear trailing arms are correct for an SS car and are boxed for extra strength to go with beefy sway bars front and rear help this car handle very well. Big vented disc brakes will haul this car to a stop in a hurry and the rubber meets the road through 275/35R20s in the back and 235/45R19s in the front mounted on those trick-looking black wheels. Good looking with plenty of power along with suspension and brake upgrades that make this a driver's car. Come on down and check it out. You might decide to make it yours and drive it on home.
