This 5-window Chevy 3100 has been cruising around SWFL for awhile now, and we were thrilled to get the chance to welcome it into our "foster care" until it finds a new owner! It's an extremely solid truck, with good floors, good frame, solid cowl, and real genuine Chevy steel all the way around. Yes, it has some dents, dings, bruises, and wears the green patina paint finish with pride, but looking through the photos you will see a really solid truck that is a fantastic driver too. During the building process, it was upgraded to a 12V charging system, and a 350ci GM motor was installed matched with a 350 turbo trans that sends power back to a GM 10-bolt rear with stout gearing for scooting around town. New aluminum radiator and hi-flow water pump keep things cool, and stays around 197 in the Florida heat. The front windshield and back window were replaced along with new rubbers, and only the passenger vent window shows any sign of a crack or issue. Front and rear bumpers were sourced from LMC to dress it up, and both were installed a little cockeyed on purpose, to add to the farm truck look. Side mirrors and the chrome grill were also ordered new, and the original headlamp rings and tail lamp housings were cleaned up so nice they didn't warrant replacing. Speaking of lights... headlamps, hi beams, parking lights, and brake lights all work as they should. Emblems and trim are all in nice shape, and look perfect on the truck. The visor is the part that gets the most attention, as you don't see many of them these days. It helps to block the sun, and REALLY looks awesome on the truck. Bed wood is solid and stable, and held over 400 pounds without flinching. Like the rest of the truck, it looks old too. Inside, and original style bench seat was left with a few tears, seam pulls, and staining for authenticity. It is clean though, and quite comfy. 3 on the column shifter was integrated in with the automatic transmission, and works just fine while retaining a classic look. Interior trim and gauges look correct in the truck, and are clean but not new. Wipers work as they should, and the windshield has been treated to RAIN-X which sheds the water right off. Rubber mat protects the floor, and covers the battery box. Power brakes are recent, with a booster hidden under the floor, and upgraded disc units up front. Stance comes from a flip kit with lowering block out back, and a new drop axle up front. BOSS 18" Black rims with polished lip look fantastic, and are wrapped in Westlake radials size 245/45ZR18 all the way around. Dual exhaust sounds nice, with a good burble without being annoying when on the road. It drives great, and you can cruise it around town without a care in the world. Starts, stops, handles, and performs quite well, and EVERYONE will stop you to talk about it! Not geared for highway cruising, but happiest at about 55mph, the truck went on a trip to Naples which is about two hours round trip, and didn't do one thing funny. It weeps a little oil from the oil pan gasket, and you have to pump it 2-3 times before you start it, but other than that, its been a fun truck to have around. I took 130 photos of it from every angle I could, and I encourage you to ask questions, come see it, or arrange for an inspection if you want to PRIOR TO BUYING IT. I don't have anything to hide, and have tried to cover every part of the vehicle as best I could. The vehicle is located in our Fort Myers, FL warehouse, and is just 20 minutes away from Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) if you want to fly in and see it. I welcome outside inspection services BEFORE YOU BUY OR BID. ***IF YOU NEED ASSISTANCE WITH WORLDWIDE VEHICLE SHIPPING- CALL ME! ***IF YOU NEED ASSISTANCE WITH QUICK AND EASY FINANCING- CALL ME! ***IF YOU NEED ASSISTANCE IN EXPORTING IT OVERSEAS - CALL ME! |
