Description:

1967 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray

1967 Corvette Convertible, California black plate, unrestored original one owner from 1967 to 2018, with documentation. The original owner passed away in 2017, and it passed on to his widow.
Very desirable color combination of Ermine White exterior and Bright Blue interior.
The original owner purchased this car on February 1, 1967 from Newt Godfrey Chevrolet Inc, in San Antonio, Texas.
Original Title With this information.
Plaque on center console stating "This Car Made Especially for (Owners Name), 1967."
Purchased in San Antonio in 1967. Then the owner moved to Palo Alto, California in around 1968.
Copy of Another Title issuing Texas Title, but with a Palo Alto California address in 1969. The car was in California from 1968 until 2018.
The original Godfrey Chevrolet Dealer information booklet cover that came with it in 1967.
California black plate that has been on it since 1968, with a current registration valid until Oct. 2018.
Tank Sticker is affixed to the gas tank, but I am unable to find a way to read it. Appears to be really dirty
Fair warning; you may find reading the word "original" redundant after this, but I don't know what other word to use in this ad. The "Survivor" description I try to avoid because it is so overused...although that word fits this 1967 perfectly.
Equipped with it's original, from the factory, numbers matching 327 350 h.p. with 4 speed manual original date coded transmission. Dated original 370 rear end. Original Shielding. This engine may have had a light rebuilt at some point. I am guessing this due to blue paint on the engine. To match blue interior? Again, every number checks out as noted below.
Engine Block Number 3892657
Block Build Date A107
Engine Suffix Number 7108897 VOII9HT
Transmission Number 7S108897
Rear Axle Number AO 12 29 66
Paint Code 972 Ermine White
Interior Trim Code 414 Bright Blue Vinyl
VIN Number 194677S108897
Engine still strong and retains most of it's factory parts, with the exception of components to keep it roadworthy. Expensive things that have been completed in the last decade or so are rotors, brake calipers, brake hoses, master cylinder, water pump, fuel pump, alternator, regulator, and radiator.
I have the original dated carburetor which is not on the car.
Odometer reading currently indicates 53,797 miles. It is not turning, and documents show back to 2004 that it was the same mile amount reading. However, the car was not driven much for the past several decades according to the family.
Ermine white lacquer paint which appears to me to be original, and was represented to me that way, and original bright blue interior. The paint still shines, and has numerous paint chips that have been touched up, and some not. Some minimal cracks and checking, but not bad at all for its age.
All of the flaws in the old lacquer paint are just more proof of it's history and should be considered a badge of honor in my opinion.
You just don't see that many 67's with old lacquer paint, original matching numbers engine, interior, etc. SO MANY have been frame off restored, or messed with in some way, and are a dime a dozen.
Original chrome bumpers. Pretty nice original condition with exception of passenger year, where stickers on for decades have left impressions and discoloration.
Decals from the late 1960's are still present, and also service station oil change sticker on inside door jams from the 70's.
Still retains all of the fender lips, and the body seams are present. Has the Corvette pimple where it should be. Purists like me would note the factory glue still showing in the door jambs.
Original Dated Safety Glass. Very nice condition with minor wear on the front windshield. Side vent has peace sticker from the 1960's still on it.
Headlamps open and close, drivers side is sleepy and sometimes needs a slight nudge. Still retains four T 3 head lamps.
Dated KH Kelsey Hayes Rally Wheels, also original to the car.
Old spare in tire carrier, with it's original KH rim.
The interior is Bright Blue, and all original. Dash is exceptional nice. Original passenger seat is in exceptional condition for its age. The drivers seat isn't bad with exception of stitching that came out in the seat seam, and a small puncture are in the back. Door panels are original, with loose chrome trim on both sides. Drivers side panel large worn area in armrest area. Carpet still all there, has typical heel marks. Shows pretty well.
Gauges; Speedo, tach, fuel, temp, oil pressure, blinkers, brake light all function. Alternator gauge and clock not working. Radio comes on but no sound. Lighter works.
Window wiper motor clicks and makes sound but isn't currently working. It starts occasionally, so I think it is a short.
Convertible top; Black, good condition. Not sure if this is original or not. Could be.
Very nice California frame. The chassis is as it was from the factory. No rust, and importantly, no goopy undercoating added later to hide problems.
Original tail pipes still present, and have some small holes. but I believe the mufflers have been replaced at some point, and they have some holes. This causes the engine to sound louder than if there weren't holes.
It would be very difficult to find another unrestored one owner 1967 that retains so much of it's originality, and with documentation authenticating it back to new.
I have many more pictures, but cannot show more than 24 in this ad.
I would encourage you to look at it, or have it looked at by your chosen expert.
