1975 Chevrolet El Camino Classic
This 1975 Chevrolet El Camino Classic is probably one of those good bets for future collectability that still offers great value today. Very straight and clean underneath, it wears nice paint, runs a strong 350, and offers the same versatility and style for which El Caminos have always been famous. OK, so a blue and white El Camino isn't setting any hearts aflutter, but stay with me on this one. Just check out how straight this one is. The paint is a few years old and thanks to the dramatic way the two-tone is separated, it looks pretty darned good. Unabused, unaltered vehicles are the ones you want to own for the future, and this one certainly qualifies, showing no signs of hard work in its past and clean bodywork that is evidence of a good life in a warm place. The finish has a high-quality shine that defies the car's age and price, and even the bed is beautifully refinished, suggesting a clean Southern history. Single headlights, a bright chrome front bumper, and that unique rear bumper that will be familiar to anyone who had a GM wagon in the late-70s, all give the El Camino a unique look that doesn't seem as dated as, say, the Ranchero. If you're familiar with El Caminos of this vintage, you know that they're as much luxury car as truck, and from the driver's seat, it's impossible to tell that you're not driving a Malibu or Monte Carlo instead. It appears that the interior is entirely original, and things like the door panels are in great shape, proving that this car has always been someone's favorite toy. The carpets are a little tired and there are some cracks in the dash pad, but those are easy fixes if you want to take it up a notch. Options include factory A/C, which still uses R12 to blow ice cold. It also still carries its original AM/FM stereo radio fitted into the woodgrained dash, and even the original spare tire and jack assembly are still stashed behind the passenger's seat. The 350 cubic inch V8 moves the compact pickup with definite authority. The care this truck/car has received is obvious with lots of fresh Chevy Orange paint and new equipment in the engine bay, but they kept it almost entirely stock so you know what you're getting. The factory air cleaner still uses a snorkel to inhale cool air from up front, and while the small block isn't a 500-horsepower beast, it does have lots of torque and a wonderful v8 rumble thanks to a dual exhaust system with a pair of performance mufflers and chrome exhaust tips. The brakes have been recently and extensively serviced, including a new master cylinder, booster, rotors, pads, seals, and wheel cylinders, so you won't have to worry there. A full tune up, fresh filters, and new hoses and belts as needed make this one ready to run. The chassis is quite clean, owing to its lifetime in a warm climate, and it sits on handsome Rally wheels with 235/70/15 whitewall radials to complete the cool 1970s package. This El Camino is a very clean car with V8 power and a bunch of options, all for the price of some beater import. Call today!Vehicle Details:
