Convertible Corvette C3
1969 Chevrolet Corvette
Up for sale!
Black on Black 1969 Corvette Stingray.
Car has some options like factory PW (not connected but parts are in door along with switch and wiring), PS (not connected with belt, but in place). Car has not been on the road since 1990, and completed complete body off restoration, zero rust, frame is very clean. Used an automatic frame with removal cross member for ease of use to replace the transmission. Re-chromed bumpers and bumperettes, with new badges and mostly new or repaired trim.
Edelbrock manifold with black crinkle painted valve covers. New comp cams roller rockers. Stock deep sump oil pan, using fel pro one-piece gasket. Comp cams using an LT1 grind, strong idle with quiet mufflers that can be replaced and you will hear the real idle that will seriously rumble... I wanted a sleeper so it is not super loud.
Complete engine rebuilt, new everything, using eagle crank, rods and speed pro pistons. Patriot headers with welded down pipes to stock configuration on exhaust. 355 with Brodix Track 1 aluminum heads. Billet distributor with HEI cap. Will throw in a used Holley 650 if you choose to replace the edelbrock carb. The radiator is a custom aluminum (Dewitts) with expansion tank. No coolant issues, so it can handle long drives. I have an electric fan in front just in case, but it is not connected at battery (has wiring in place) as I never needed it.
Emergency brake new along with drilled and slotted brake rotors. New brakes, master cylinder and pedals, no rust under dash and entire bird cage replaced with new steel. New brake lines and braided connectors along with new brake calipers.
Completely rebuilt transmission, Muncie M21 for highway high speed drives, coupled with a (also completely rebuilt) 3:08 rear. All new rubber on chassis, and new everything on draglink and chassis connections. New clutch and shifter with new back up sensor. Stronger half shafts, fully adjustable rear suspension and KYB HD shocks with new rear spring. Does not have an A/C compressor but cheap to buy. New swing arms and bearing assemblies. Every chassis part was replaced or acid dipped and powder coated. New springs - added big block springs because I like the heavier springs.
Interior is all there, but needs to be tightened up. New dashboard and new high-performance tach and speedo, needs to be connected. New stereo connected to front speakers, just add rears. Will throw in an alpine booster to be added. All vacuum lines in place, just needs an expansion tank. Needs clutch start switch to be attached, but has wiring and switch in place. Used later C3 seats with build in high backs, I don't like the original lower buckets with the headrests. Used a newer steering wheel also, I prefer the solid spoke style. Newer doors (much safer as they have a cross bar inside them, and I added the passenger side mirror which is not stock. New tires in front, rears are older but about 100 miles on them.
Paint needs to be redone, in front and around door exterior parts, but still looks good, all lights work and new wiring and ground strips in place. Some minor chips and scratches but fiberglass is in good shape. The original color tag is not on car, but was green with black interior. Convertible top is new, convertible frame is painted and no rust. No hard top. Wipers and door need to be reassembled, but everything is there.
Overall, this vette will bring a high level of enjoyment and enable you to drive with the big boys and have much less invested!
