1964 Chevrolet Impala SS

When you roll in a full-sized SS, you are rolling in style! It looks good, it sounds good, and it's got plenty of room to bring your friends with you. Head out to the cruise in for a day of fun, or head for the beach or mountains for the weekend. There is plenty of room to stretch out for the ride, plenty of luxury like air conditioning, and so much room in the trunk you won't have to worry... about packing efficiently. Red and chrome always look good together. On a full-sized car with long straight body lines to accentuate, and a rear fender that goes on forever, it looks ever better. Up front, a new chrome bumper leads the way underlining an eggcrate grill with quad headlights. The hood is super smooth and flat except for the ridge of chrome down the center. There is a tapering line of body side molding that starts out on the front fender as all chrome, and transitions to having a machine turned center with chrome edging on the door and ends just over the Impala SS badge on the rear fender. It is echoed by two other body lines that remain in body color and reflect the light along them as the car moves down the street. The trunk has another ridge of chrome running down the center with dual radio antennae on the fenders. The back of the car has another panel of machine turned aluminum trimmed in chrome above triple round taillights and another sweet looking bumper. Open the door and get ready for a treat. Red and chrome is the theme here too. A vertical pleated door panel with an SS badge in the center has a comfortable armrest for those long cruises and power window switches at your fingertips. A red steering wheel with a chrome half circle horn ring with an Impala center mounted on a tilt column. There is a rare factory tachometer built into the dashboard which has a red padded upper with a painted lower and a machine turned aluminum panel running through the center. There is a horizontal speedometer with the factory engine gauges off to the right along with factory cruise and air conditioning controls. An analog navigation system (a compass) is mounted above the rear-view mirror and a digital radio that is AM/FM/iPod/and Satellite compatible hidden under the center console lid just behind the T-handle shifter for the automatic transmission. The front bucket seats are sweet and the back seat is even sweeter for cruising down the road in comfort and style. And let's not forget about that huge trunk! Check it out. You could probably camp in it! Open the hood and you will find an engine bay that is as spotless as the rest of the car with a 327 cubic inch engine nestled neatly down inside it. There is a factory air cleaner with the 327 TurboFire sticker sitting on top of an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor. The rest of the engine is wonderfully stock with the valve covers, heads and block painted Chevy orange with the accessories and inner fender wells painted black and polished to a nice shine. All the belts and hoses are new as is the brake booster and master cylinder along with the alternator and fan shroud. As you should expect by now, the undercarriage of this car is spotless too. Power flows back through a 2-speed Powerglide transmission and a cherry bomb style exhaust system gives the car a nice sound. The car sits on 5-spoke Cragar wheels with 245/45ZR18 rear tires and 235/40ZR18 fronts. If you like the idea of rolling in style in a full-sized SS, then get yourself down here and check this car out. You may decide to roll it on home, or to the beach, or to the mountains in it.
