1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS Restomod Coupe 496 V8 4 Speed Manual Classic Vintage
1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS Restomod
This is one of those cars that will be hard to describe in words and even pictures will only give you hint of how good it looks up close and in person. The Black paint is super slick and looks miles deep and the custom interior is stunning. For those who appreciate the details of a custom engine build, this car will truly be something special. When you build a '69 RS/SS, its hard to go wrong. It's going to... look good. But to go from good to great, you need to hire the right people, define your goals, and stay focused on getting the results you are looking for. All Colors Body Shop stripped this car down completely, got the body panels lined up just right, and brought it all back up in a base coat/clear coat of Black with White SS stripes. All the chrome and trim was replaced with new pieces. There are no used parts on the outside of this car. The car has an aggressive stance that should not be treated lightly and the SS stripes look awesome climbing up the cowl induction hood and over the rear spoiler. A Detroit Speed electric hideaway headlight system assures proper operation and there is SS badging on the grill and trunk as well as Camaro SS and 396 emblems on the front fender. Open the door and you will find a Black custom interior looking better than new with the very desirable houndstooth upholstery for the seating surfaces along with new carpets and a new console. A three spoke steering wheel sits in front of a stock dash with the speedo on the left and tach on the right. The center console has a set of 4 Rally gauges that are backed up by auxiliary Auto-gage water temp, oil pressure and voltage gauges mounted just to the right for good measure. A Hurst shifter for the 4-speed transmission rises from the center console and just begs to be stirred around at speed. The windshield is new so you will be able to see clearly where you are going, and the back window is also new, so there will be no claiming you didn't see the lights if you get caught. Now for a few notes on the machine artwork that you won't be able to see, but will definitely be able to feel. Ask your salesperson for the full build sheet. It's a 496 cubic inch, all roller, stroker motor. That's a roller comp cam and rockers with screw in studs and guide plates operating in ported and polished heads with a double roller timing chain driving it all. The bottom end has a steel crank and I beam rods with JE pistons and everything has been balanced for smooth operation at speed. What you can see is a Holley 4-barrel carburetor feeding a Weiand intake with MSD handling the ignition duties and ceramic coated headers getting the exhaust out to a 3" Flowmaster exhaust. The power is sent back through a Saginaw 4-speed to a 10-bolt posi rear with 3.73 gears and Moser axles. Traction bars and full frame connectors help get the power on the ground effectively through 275/40/18 tires in the rear with 235/40/18s in the front all mounted on American Racing wheels. If you even think you might be interested in this car, you should come down to see it, hear it, and feel it. If the feeling moves you, take it home with you.
