We got this car directly from the former owner who also built it. He was kind enough to supply us with thousands of dollars in receipts as well as a history of his time with it. First of all, the car is NOT a real SS, as you can tell. It is badged and was done as an RS/SS tribute, but it IS an actual V8-born coupe, as you'll see in the decoding section below. The car was built to be a modern running, reliable, and easy to maintain example of a classic muscle car, with exceptional handling added as a bonus. The Victory Red finish on the car is in very good condition, and shows well from every angle, but does show flaws when you get up close. The car quickly painted after all the other upgrades were done just get it on the road and shake it down. Unfortunately, it drove and handled so good, he never bothered to redo the finish! Don't get me wrong, the paint still turns heads and makes everyone oooh and ahhh at the local cruise night, but I want you to know that the finish is the ONLY thing keeping it from being priced much higher. The body is VERY solid and free from any rust, rot, and bondo panels. I have taken a 4" square felt covered magnet over the entire painted surface of the car, and it sticks like glue. The doors need adjusted or new hinges because they do sag a little as you can see in the photos. There is no sign of any rust or rot on the underside of the doors either, as the photos will attest. Gaps and fit on the other panels are very good, and the cowl hood lines up as good as most high-dollar restorations! Chrome bumpers front and rear are in great shape. Grille and Grille surround are in great shape, and the light doors open and close perfectly. SS, Chevrolet, Camaro, and 350 badging on the car is in great condition. Windshield and rear window trim is brand new, and are the front and rear windows. Wiper arms look great and work like they should. Mirrors look like new. Side window trim and rain gutters look great. Vent window trim is in average condition with patina and dry rubber. Side glass is exceptional and issue free. Polished lower trim panels are in great condition on both sides. It rides on new ROCKET RACING 17/18 chrome 5 star rims with a fat lip that look absolutely incredible on the car, and are in perfect condition, without any damage or marks. They are wrapped in Cooper ZEON RS3-A radials size 225/45ZR17 up front, and 245/45R18 in the back. The wheel and tire combo has less than 200 miles on them, as they were a recent addition to the car. Look at the 150 photos below. It will show you how clean, neat, and nice the outside of the car is. I just want you to know that it does have some flaws, but was made to drive and enjoy, not park inside an event center. Open the doors, and you will see a very clean and tidy interior with an abundance of new items. Door panels are in great condition, as are the original door pulls, window rollers, and armrests. The vent window handles show some age and patina, but work perfectly. Kick panels and rear seat side panels are in very good condition, and show wonderfully. Dash is clean and neat, and the dash cap is soft and clean with one small star in it about 1/2" diameter shown in the photos below. Steering wheel shows like brand new, as do the sun visors, headliner, and carpeting. Seats are in exceptional condition front and rear, and show no damage or issues. A B&M Quick Silver chrome shifter resides on the transmission tunnel, and looks as good as it works. The Holley SNIPER EFI display panel is tucked just behind the shifter, and offers a clear view of its readout. It even has a working dome light!!!! Wiper switch, headlamp switch, cigar lighter, and key switch all are in above average condition. Factory speedometer and odometer work as they should, and the odometer currently shows 19,867. The car is sold as mileage exempt on the title though. Factory fuel gauge works as it should, and there is a full array of aftermarket AutoGage gauges to monitor, OIL PRESSURE, VOLTS, and WATER TEMP. Vintage Air Conditioning was added to the car, and performs wonderfully. Two side vents and one center venter keep everyone cold, and a factory style panel works as good as it looks. Original ashtray is great to hold loose change, and there is plenty of room to add a radio should the rumble of the exhaust not be enough to listen to. The brake lights, head lamps, hi/low beam switch, parking lights, and turn signals all work like they should. Overall, the cars interior is a super clean and show ready place to command it from. Open the hood, and you will see a very clean engine bay. Power comes from a new GM Performance Crate 350CI engine with 290hp from the factory. The prior owner/builder added a Comp Cams THUMPER cam to the car, along with changes to the intake manifold, Ceramic Coated HEDMAN Headers, and and Holley SNIPER FI system, and estimated power to be in the 315-320 range. It certainly has enough power to enjoy it, and the car will easily lay rubber with a heavy right foot on the gas pedal, but is incredibly well-mannered in daily driving and freeway environments as well. The motor was dressed up with Chevrolet carbon-fiber air cleaner and valve covers. A custom aluminum radiator was installed, along with a hi-flow water pump, and it keeps the car cool like Fonzi no matter what the outside temperature is. Sitting in beach traffic for 15 minutes with the A/C on saw it reach 205, and I had it idling with the air running for 25 minutes while I took these photos, and it went to 205 again. Oh, and its about a bazillion degrees in Florida right now too. MSD 6AL, new power brake system, serpentine belt drive, and other goodies round things out, and those Hedman headers attach to a complete stainless steel exhaust system from MagnaFlow. The motor feeds power to a new 700R4 transmission from GM with a 3,000 stall converter. It then routes it down a custom-balanced driveshaft that connects to a new AUBURN 12-Bolt posi-traction rear end with new Moser Axles and long-haul friendly 3.52 gearing. The power brake system feeds new Wilwood discs up front, and new stock drums in the rear. The whole system is properly balance and adjusted to scrub off speed without any pulling or chatter. The entire package works together to provide a classicunder-hood look with modern reliability and exceptional performance. Hotchkis was tapped to make the car handle as good as it looked and performed, and an all-in-one TVS kit was installed including all new body bushings, sub-frameconnectors, front and rear springs, front and rear sway bars, tubular control arms, and all the assorted bits and pieces to install it all. A new fuel tank, hi-flow performance pump, and all new lines and filters keep the motor fed. It starts, runs, drives, and rides like a modern car. Handling is FANTASTIC. It inspires confidence in you every time you get behind the wheel, and it so fun to drive a classic bodied car that feels like a late model machine in your hands. It exhibits NO odd characteristics, and seems to have NO issues or items to address. It sounds incredible, and the Fuel Injection system is incredibly easy to manage, and runs on pump gas. If you are looking for an exceptionally well-built car that you could take anywhere without concern, this might be the one for you. We went through it thoroughly, and I have driven it for over 60 miles in the process of getting to know it. We feel confident risking our eBay reputation by offering it up for worldwide sale, and know that the new owner will be thrilled.
