1966 Chevrolet C-10

This is a 1966 C10 that has a recently completed frame-off restoration. I took my time restoring this truck as I intended to keep it, but times and interests change and now it is for sale. I have put over 2800 miles on it since finishing and even took it on the 2018 Hot Rod Power Tour, which was about 2300 miles, and had zero issues.
The truck has new, show quality paint. 10 out of 10. It is flawless. The color is Mandarin Orange Metallic. Body has no issues at all. The cab had all rust repaired and it was done perfectly. New metal in floor, cab corners, rockers, roof skin. Looks very nice, body lines and gaps are all very good. New aftermarket doors shut perfectly. Sealed inside and out with bed liner spray on bottom. New hood, fenders, inner fenders all treated with rust inhibitor. I also installed a new bed and tailgate with hidden latch. It is 10 out of 10 on appearance and has been built to look this way for years to come.
Interior is two-tone saddle leather. Everything is new. New seat and upholstery, dash components, carpet, headliner, door panels and sun visors. The instruments are Dolphin Gauges and they look and work great. Custom dash to incorporate the gauges, A/C vents and controls. New seat belts. The custom console has stainless cup holders and a new Sony touch screen head unit with 6.5" speakers...sounds great and is upgradeable easily to a system with subwoofers and amplifier. Sound deadener was added under new carpet. Also has power windows with one touch controls. Interior is perfect, also a 10 out of 10.
Engine is a new 383 crate motor with cast iron block, aluminum heads and intake. It has a Holley Sniper Electronic Fuel Injection System installed and runs very well. Tons of driveable power and starts every time. It has a billet aluminum pulley set and chrome A/C pump and Alternator. The headers are hooked to 3" diameter stainless exhaust and has Magnaflow mufflers and turndowns in front of rear axle. Sounds good and looks good.
Transmission is a new Monster brand 700R4 overdrive transmission with a very mild 2200 stall converter. This keeps the muscle feel but still retains the driveability of the stock converter. It performs flawlessly. A one piece drive shaft connects to the rebuilt stock 3.73 rear axle with billet cover, which is the correct gearing for this package.
The rest of the drive train and suspension has been rebuilt and all in perfect condition. It is an original short bed, 115" wheel base truck, not a cut down long bed. The truck was lowered 4 inches in the front and 6 in the rear. The front end has CPP upper and lower control arms, lowering spindles, shocks and sway bar. The CPP turnbuckle steering arms connects the close-ratio power steering box to the wheels. The rear has CPP trailing arms, shocks, sway bar, C-channel and shock relocators. It is a coil spring rear end. Tires and wheels are chrome Ridler 650, 20" front and rear with Falken tires. Truck handles great and rides very smooth for a short bed lowered truck.
Brakes are Wilwood disc all the way around. Larger 14" fronts and 12" rear. Wilwood manual master cylinder with adjustable proportioning valve and all new stainless lines throughout. Parking brake also built with all new components.
This truck has a Old Air brand air conditioning that works very well. Comes out at 43 degrees. These trucks are miserable without A/C.
Everything has been rebuilt or new on this truck. New tires, exhaust, Optima battery, windshield, rear window, side windows with vent windows, door handles, gas tank (which was relocated to the rear)with billet fill door, fuel lines, aluminum radiator, aluminum transmission cooler, all LED lights, complete wiring, mirrors with LED turn signals, grill, all new synthetic fluids ...virtually everything.
All in all this is a very nice restored C10 with Air conditioning that is turn-key, ready to enjoy. Needs nothing at all. It is a 52 year old truck that drives very nice...it is in near perfect condition. It looks as good under as it does on the surface. Complete show truck restoration.
If a bidder needs someone to inspect the truck, there is a couple local clubs here and many of the members are helpful and know classic vehicles. Show-me Corvettes and Foothills car clubs can be found on the web or Facebook.
You could fly into Lambert International Airport in St Louis and drive this truck home if prepaid. No doubts in my mind that this truck is reliable. I have the means to ship if needed. It will typically cost less than $1500 anywhere in the U.S..
I can be here virtually anytime for viewing. I have more pictures available to interested parties. Clean, clear title in hand. Call or text 573-631-1941 if you have any questions. I love to talk old cars so don't hesitate to contact me.
