Description:

1985 Chevrolet C-10

This is a 3 owner 1985 C10 with 61000 actual miles. The odometer has not rolled. The truck was originally purchased by an old man in California and used to drive from his house to his barn so he could feed the horses. A custom and restorations shop in Orlando Florida (GM Works) bought it as a parts chaser truck and I purchased it from them around 2008 as a secondary vehicle. As it goes with all of my vehicles I can't leave anything alone and I started modifying.
The truck has front and rear roll pans, Cadillac tail lights, drip rails shaved, marker lights shaved front and rear, trim holes have been filled throughout, 3" cowl induction hood, billet look grill, bed cover, tinted windows and a ton of other little custom cosmetic tricks. Front end is lowered 4" with McGauphys stuff and Nitro drop shocks. The rear is lowered on Qa1 adjustable coil overs. Disk brakes all around. Front wheels are 15x8. Rear wheels are 15x14. Stereo is a pioneer with a pair of 10" competition kickers. Radio and speaker work but the subs stopped a week ago. I haven't looked into it yet.
The engine is now a mild SBC with a mild lopey cam covered in Edelbrock parts with a brand new holley 750 (has electric choke but I never wired it, I live in Florida), brand new 700r4 transmission with a B&M quick shifter, 2800 RPM stall. Aluminum radiator and 160 degree thermostat keeps this thing running cool all summer long. The rear end has been tubbed and narrowed to fit the 29x15.5-15 Mickey Thompsons. It's a 9" Ford with a 3.90 gear and a Detroit Locker. If you have never driven a vehicle with a locker please do a little research as it can be a little unnerving at times if you don't know what "normal" is. I'll explain in detail if necessary. Despite the low rear gear this thing will still cruise at pleasant RPM.
This truck is in awesome condition but like any old vehicle it has it's little issues: Drivers window is a little temperamental but once you figure it out it's not a big issue. All the glass is just as old as the truck and the dark tint highlights little imperfections. There are no cracks but you cans see a couple little scratches in the glass. I'm nit picking but I want to be totally honest with the prospective buyer. I'm sure I'm forgetting a ton of info so look closely at the pictures, really and awesome C10.
