Description:
1969 Chevrolet Camaro
I have a 69 Camaro Convertible available. The original owner was a woman from Massachusetts who passed away & left the car to her sister. The sister had no interest in it so she sold it to me. Although the car was in very good condition, t was set up very stock looking & a little boring for my taste. I started a complete 2 year restoration including but not limited to stripping the entire driveline & suspension out of the car, tripping all of the paint off & getting it back down to bare metal on the outside & on the underside & inside of the car. there was very little metal work required, ut we did replace one floor pan and a couple other small repairs. The underside of the car was completely wire wheeled spotless (two week process) The underside of the car was repainted in the flat black. the frame was removed & sandblasted, hen painted & reinstalled with all new frame mount bushings. we installed a new radiator support & 2 new front inner fenders. all of the panels on exterior of the car are the same ones that I bought it with, were in very good condition & only needed some small repairs. I did replace the hood because I wanted the cowl type.We installed a brand new Canadian made gas tank, uel sending unit & all new stainless steel brake & fuel lines, e converted the front brakes to power disc type with drilled & slotted rotors. we rebuilt the back brakes and installed brand new rear multi leaf springs with all new hardware & shackles.
we completely rebuilt the front suspension with all new control arm bushings, ll new steering components & all new ball joints.
Driveline: I bought a Brand new Jegs Blueprint 355 crate engine. It came with the Dyno sheet showing that it produces 413 HP with 450 ft lbs of torque. It comes with a 3 year or 50,000 mile warranty. I also purchased a New flywheel & Harmonic balancer, ew battery, ew water pump & fuel pump & new Holley 670cfm carburetor as well as a rebuilt starter. New ceramic coated headers, amp; full new dual exhaust. I installed a new Ram clutch & a new Tremek TKO600 5 speed manual transmission. we had the driveshaft rebuilt with new universal joints & balanced. The rear differential was rebuilt & re ratio'd with a New Motive Gear 3.73 gearset & all new bearings & races.
lots of small things were replaced just because we had it apart, eater core, eater fan motor, ll new hydraulic lines for the power convertible top, ons of new bolts & hardware etc.
Interior: all new carpeting, ew door panels front & rear & new seat covers, ark green.
The tires & rims are all new Bridgestone 275-17's in the back & 225-17's on the front of American Racing Torque Thrust 2 rims. The car has all new badging & rubber for the doors, runk & hood.
This is a true X11 car & is so indicated on the cowl tag.
The paint was done in the original color Frost Green code 59. We added the white stripes & the front & rear spoilers. we also installed new Global West sub frame connectors for added strength & stability.
I am sure that I left out a ton of information, he list of additional parts would be almost impossible for me to remember, ut there are tons of new parts installed.. but I am available to speak with most of the time.I made a short video of the car running on Youtube please go to youtube & paste cpqgicJJdKw into their browser to see the video.
