1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS big block carWhat you are looking at is a very special very unique well built machine. This car was frame off restored approximately 12 years ago still retains all of its original metal no rust repair was necessary has been a Pennsylvania and Florida car it's entire lifeThe paint on this car shines like a diamond has one flaw the size of a half dollar top of the right rear quarter panel by the tail lamp bucket. It has been touched up, not noticeable from 5ft. . Car has no major scratches or issues paint shows very well for his age flat as glass recently professionally detailed and ceramic coated. Body of the car is all steel with the exception of fiberglass bumpers and a fiberglass hood that is hinged and opens with factory latch .This car runs 828 at 169 as a best consistently runs 850s in the quarter with little effort. The engine is a Vinson built 582 dark block with 355 heads makes 961 hp on motor and has a 450 shot of nitrous to back that up motor make 770 foot pounds of torque on pump gas. Car runs on 94 octane pump gas with a splash of hundred octane, and if you're going to spray it C 20 fuel is recommended by the builder. The car is simple, included is a cheat wheat from previous owner. The transmission is a Rossler th400 with trans brake, Neil Chance nitrous converter, an awesome Gear Vendors Overdrive unit and heavy duty driveshaft. Car runs 8's and cruises 80-85 mph with the A/C on..Out back is a ford 9" with 3.89 gears in an all aluminum center section with fully braced housing. Holding it to the road in the rear is Hotchkiss control arms upper frame braces adjustable upper control arms huge rear sway bar with adjustable links . Up front it has speed tech upper and lower tubular control arms with a drop spring and QA1 double adjustable shocks at all four corners . Heim joint steering linkage and a large swaybar in front as well. A hydro boost system controls the Wilwood brakes on all four corners .. This car stops as well as it goes..This car belonged to Mark Vinson the man that ran it during drag week several years in a row up until this past year. It was his personal car for over 10 years was built and restored under his ownership car is extremely well-built everything on the car was done correctly and done for longevity I am only selling this car because I do not use it as intended I drive the car on the street it really deserves to see some track time it is an amazing car rides like a Cadillac fast as a bullet..This is a heavy car it weighs 4040 it has a full interior all factory dash, seats, consol, etc. has a tilt steering column and cold air conditioning. Was a factory air car, now has vintage air setup in it that works and fits great. Inside all factory gauges in the car work including tachometer and speedometer it has a small oil and water gauge mounted under the dash out of sight it has a powerful stereo system with CD player and USB connector. This car has a LUTZ race cars roll cage in it with an 850 certification as well as window net and five point harnesses. This car has run these times through a full 3.5 inch exhaust with factory style tips it has cut outs as well but I find it to be plenty loud through the tail pipes.
For a carbureted dominator car with a crank trigger ignition thecar it is very sophisticated. One pump of the pedal and it fires up and runs. The car just works perfectly.. It was built tuned and driven quite frequently by the owner of a race engine shop.. Enough said!Included is the laptop that was used for the he car . It has an MSD grid system with a digital seven series ignition box and Lingenfelter nitrous control center all mounted neatly under the center console. on the lid of the center consol there are buttons for the nitrous system, line lock and overdrive unit. As you could imagine, the car has a huge fuel system with two pumps running through a factory size tank.. Remember this car was built to be driven it is a tried and true proven drag week car with a pretty nasty track record. This is probably the nicest car I have ever owned certainly the fastest I really do not want to part with it and I'm sure I will miss it when it's gone take this opportunity to pick up a nice piece. There is a lot of money in this car, it would take upwards of 100k to build a car of this caliber and that don't mean it will work! This car is dialed in.
If you have any questions please feel free to ask ! I do have more pictures of the car however the listing only allows for 24 if there is something you would like to see a picture of please feel free to ask ..as for the business end of things I have a large commercial lot to help assist load the car with the shipping company of your choice I run my own shop so I am around seven days a week seven days a week pretty much anytime as for the winning better a $500 nonrefundable deposit is due within 24 hours the balance due at the time of pick up or by wire transfer and to be cleared before car leaves my possession I am very easy to work with and my time is valuable so please serious bidders only thank you very much

Walk around and short video of car running. Motor hasn't got many passes on it from what I was told, a bit of haze first few minutes of running, rings are gapped for nitrous and car runs 92 jets both sides of the dominator . Car runs crisp and clean.
