1925 CHEVROLET ROADSTER VIN 1K22077 WHAT IS A ROADSTER? My definition is a convertible with out roll up windows. DOES THE CAR HAVE A RUMBLE SEAT? Yes, it is not padded, but will work fine for parades. HOW IS THE BODY? I consider it very good. Old Chevrolet's have lots of wood for the body framing, the wood seams very good to me. Frame is straight and solid, I see no bad rust in the exterior sheet metal, under side not beautiful, but solid. HOW DOES...THE CAR RUN? The over head valve 4 cylinder engine runs good. I see no blue smoke, drops of old under the car when parked over night, but nothing that has to be fixed. Engine starts good if you retard the timing with the lever on the steering wheel, choke it right and crank. Distributor hold down is broken and tied down with zip ties, it seems to work fine. I hear no knock or rattle that I would consider bad on a engine with babbit bearing. I consider it a good engine. HEAD LIGHTS WORK! TAIL LIGHT WORK! BRAKE LIGHT WORKS! HORN WORKS! COWL LIGHTS WORK! SPEEDOMETER NOT WORKING! OIL GAUGE WORKS! Missing 1 head light rim. HOW IS THE TRANSMISSION? Its a 3 speed manual, it is not synchronized, but shits good with double clutching. HOW IS THE PAINT? Shine is good, no dents, no rusty hole. It is old and has several chips and little flaws, lots of people call old paint patina. Pictures make the paint look better than it really is. HOW IS THE INTERIOR? Seat cover good, no floor mat, needs a mat. IS THERE A TOP? Only a very good frame, no canvas cover. HOW ARE THE TIRES? Older tire that have good tread wear left on them. HOW ARE THE WOOD RIMS? I consider them good, they seem to run very true for wood rimes. HOW ARE THE BRAKES? Very good for the year, the car came with rears only. They are a band type that are mechanical. WHERE IS THE CAR LOCATED? Athens, Tennessee 37303.
