Description:
1994 Chevrolet Camaro Z28
I bought this for my college son as it appeared to be a quick easy car to get running in a day.I wound up buying him a hemi charger as he needed a car fairly quickly for summer work and school. This Z28 required multiple unknown repairs to be running and driving.Ive owned everything LT1 many many times over and I know these fairly simple cars very well. Previous older man bought this off lease late in 1995.I was told it had not run in 3 years simply due to buying another car....10 years is more likely. It not starting and no one knowing why is the real reason..Quite revealing, the battery in the car had a 2008 expiration date....anyway.....The VATS module was dead....not the common key and wiring that plagues these cars, but the rare to fail module itself.....I back probed the no start issue to module and replaced it with the correct number 1-15 module..The fuel pump was also dead,i installed a brand new premium pump and sender assembly and a brand new warranteed duracell battery. The vats module being dead, prevented the starter solenoid from receiving power when the ignition key was inserted and turned. It also prevents continued fuel injector pulse.Since the car sat so many years 3 of the 6 injectors were not spraying well, not surprisingly.I installed 8 perfect 1994 LT1 injectors. The A/C compressor pulley was frozen.I installed an almost new original GM Harrison compressor.I evacuated the system added correct amount of pag oil and it held suction for 30 minutes so i charged the system. The air blew ice cubes for a week and now does not ...I have not looked at why... Car is 100% original, has zero rust issues anywhere top or bottom(and these cars certainly rust)has no fluid leaks at all,and retains its complete original exhaust.Paint is all original,no accidents but is dull and a bit worn from sitting in the sun.The car was always on dry pavement which saved the undercarriage from rust.Ive been under some really expensive F bodies with floor pan rust. This has none.Common upper plastic dash broke to pieces when i removed to install the ULTRA hidden GM vats module. Seats and leather steering wheel are nicest I've seen...no tears or real wear.I removed headliner material as it was resting on my head.Tires have good tread and match but have dry rot and flat spots from sitting.Abs inop light stays on at times, most times goes out,I'm sure due to a cheap simple corroded sensor.Low coolant light stays on sometimes,Common coolant bottle sensor fault. For a stock 94 Lt1 automatic with 2.73 gears, this thing rips.It runs and shifts perfectly...the slightest pedal push easily breaks both rear tires loose and it pulls as hard as our hemi charger...maybe harder.A compound/wax detail,a set of better tires,a day at the pick and pull for some plastic pieces and odds and ends and you'd have a real decent original z28 for little money. This is one of the best running and shifting f body LT1 cars i have driven.I would not drive home any distance tires could be an issue.Thats your call.Non refundable deposit.Sold as is where is.Please no nonsense.I have its clean clear actual miles NJ title.....thank you.Vehicle Details:
