Price: - Item location: Wauseon, Ohio, United States
Description:

1969 Chevrolet Nova

This Nova was owned and maintainedfrom new on June 26 of 1969 by3 generations of 1 family for over 30 years. You can see the family ownership history from the pictures of the original Protecto Plate issued 49 years ago, to the picture of the letter from the Granddaughter dated 11/17/2000. I also have a few other documents including the shipper from Las Cruces, NM to Ohio dated April 20, 2000 which supports the Protecto Plate, family history, and letter I mention above and pictured in this listing being accurate and factual. Only 19,765 actual miles!
The first person to own the car outside of the family purchased it after the car was brought back for the great-grandson of the original owner from Las Cruces to Ohio where it was originally sold in 1969 to Pearl Rupple (see pictures of original Protecto Plate in her name).
Being an avid car enthusiast the new owner started a complete cosmetic restoration on the car. After seeing how original the car was he decided to leave the original 230 CI 6 cylinder engine and Power glide transmission in the car since it was in such exceptional condition. What you see is an all original car, that runs and drives as it did when new, and looks even better. The body is laser straight with no dings, dents, scratches, or paint flaws. Vinyl top, chrome, and bright trim are in excellent condition as well. All of the window glass is clear with no delamination, scratches, or chips. The underside of the car is clean and solid, not covered with paint or rustproofing trying to cover up or hide anything. This car is in perfect condition and ready to be enjoyed as is, or is one of the very best candidates to transplant an LS or Crate motor, Resto-mod or Tribute build that you will find!
I am a car guy, not a dealer, and offering this car for sale after purchasing it from the widow of the second owner. I paid her exactly what she wanted for the car since it was too nice to pass up. If it doesn't sell, it can remain in my collection of Chevrolet's. The reserve price is set very reasonably for a quality car this nice. I will let the auction run for the 10 days and will not disclose the reserve price. My hope is to find the right guy to buy, own, and appreciate this Nova, since I have too many cars, and a few projects in the works at this time. Appraised prior to this listing at $18,500.00 by a well known and reputable Auto Restoration Custom Build Shop in the Toledo Ohio area.
Good luck to all bidders, and I will try my best to accurately answer all legitimate questions about the car via email before the auction ends. Please post your questions so all bidders and interested parties can see them. Once you place a bid you can contact me to arrange an inspection of the car 2 -3 days prior to the end of the auction. I will refund 100% of the deposit if the winning bidder comes to finish the transaction, inspects this car in person at the time of pickup, and does not want it before finalizing the sale.
