1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS
Multiple show winning 1970 SS Chevelle, GM Performance 572cid rated at 620hp with 620 ft/lb of torque, Tremec TKO 600 5-speed transmission with 0.64/1 ratio in fifth gear. Keisler Engineering Strange Dana-60 35-spline rear end with 4.10 gears. Hotchkis sway bars and suspension, tubular upper and lower A-arms, boxed trailing arms with connectors, upper to lower support bars, Bilstein shocks, 13" drilled and slotted rotors with oversized calipers in front, 12" drilled and slotted rotors in rear, CPP Hydrotech brake booster and Kite Exhaust System. Darryl Bassani of Bassani Exhaust used this car to protoype a 3" 1968-1972 A-body exhaust system. The exhaust system is a complete prototype from header flanges to the exhaust tips, done all in stainless steel and features the patented clam shell X-pipe. The car was featured in Bassani's booth at SEMA in 2006. The valve cover is signed by Pro Stock multiplechampion Warren Johnson who drove for GM Performance and assisted with the 572 development. Winner of Goodguys Mighty Muscle award, winner of Goodguys Best Chevy Muscle Car at Nationals Del Mar, winner of Best of Show trophy at John Force Annual Holiday, show winner of several other local shows and featured on posters for auto shows nationwide.Vehicle Details:
