Description:

1971 Chevrolet Corvette 454 LS5 COUPE/AUTO

Spring of 2017, this original Corvette was found in a climate controlled garage where a small collection had been stored for many years. There was no documentation to be found but a thorough, expert inspection revealed no rust issues or evidence of damage repairs.
The paint and interior appear to be original and in very good condition. The black leather interior has no rips or tears, and no cracks in the dash pad. The carpet is in good condition other than a small wear hole on the drivers side. The paint is faded a little on the upper surfaces, and there are a few minor scratches and dings... to be expected on an original, un-restored car. The odometer is showing just over 36K miles but the speedometer stopped working the last time I drove it to a car show last month. The engine is the correct, numbers-matching 454/365hp engine. The automatic transmission is very clean and was probably replaced or rebuilt at some point in the recent past.

I was in the process of moving to Florida, so I left it with my friends at Tuscaloosa Chevrolet for a more thorough refurbishment. I take it out once or twice a month for a cruise around The Villages, and to the monthly cruise-in and classic car show at Spanish Springs Square. It's kept in my climate controlled garage at home the rest of the time.
