Description:

1966 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Bel AIr

Selling my 1966 Chevy 2dr post Bel Air Rat Rod/Sleeper. I have 3 projects and will be selling this and my 1983 Malibu Wagon. See ad for that next week.

Its a Georgia car that I purchased in 1999. Was in dry storage until 2015 when I began getting it running. Originally a 283/Powerglide car, I had it converted to a 4 spd with the correct 4 spd hump welded in. Much has been invested on the car mechanically and there are some new parts including a new front and rear bench seat (see photo). Most Mechanical Parts are brand new and were purchased from Summit Racing. Will provide copies of all bills.

-350 brand new GM Goodwrench crate motor w/ new Vortec truck heads and Edelbrock Aluminum Intake. Comp Cams 268XEH Extreme Cam. Flat Tappet design so needs oil with additive. Engine purchased here in Canada. Less than 1,000 miles since being set up and installed. Some of the magazines did builds like this in the early 2000s and got 350 to 400 HP. The Vortec heads flow make great power with this cam. Est HP 325 to 350.

-Rebuilt Rochester Quadrajet, new GM Flywheel, High Vol Mech Fuel Pump

-New HEI Ignition and MSD Box

-New Hurst Shifter, New Clutch Kit, Rebuilt M21 4 spd

-Converted to New Power Front Disc Brake Kit with 2" dropped spindles

-Converted to New Borgeson Power Steering Box with New Power Steering Pump

-Mishimoto Aluminum Radiator w/ Dual Electric Fans

-New Rear Brake Shoes and Rear Shocks

-New Stainless steel dual exhaust; used headers (for that under hood RatRod vibe) and exits behind rear wheels. They look and sound great.

-Original 10 bolt with 3.00:1 - includes a 12 bolt from an Impala. See photo.

-Period correct (60s) SunPro Tach Repro and SW Gauges (Oil, Volt, Temp)

And many parts to finish (I was going to do this myself over time but the new owner can):

-New Wiper Arms and Blades

-All Interior pillar trim

-Restored front bench and rear seat (mint)

-Existing door panels (good condition for daily driver; was going to get new ones made)

-Door and rear trunk seals/weatherstripping. See photo.

-Set of exterior window frame trim used/original

-Access plugs (3 of the 4) are out have been cleaned and need to be painted and reinstalled.

-Used front windshield as the one on the car is cracked

-Complete set of all fasteners; interior trim, underhood, etc. For the whole car (see pic)

-In process of putting together a straight used front bumper. Not perfect but perfect for the car.

The items I don't have are:

-A full carpet

-Headliner

-Antenna

-Rear package tray

-Dashpad

Some exterior trim and emblems. Have some of them. My plans were to scrape the body sealer and replace with fresh. POR15 the floor and then DynaMat the whole interior. The dash pad is cracked and needs to be replaced. There is some minor rust but the car has great patina. I was going to shoot it in clear coat and keep the exterior that way but make the interior mint. Being a Georgia car, the floors have some surface rust which POR15 will take care of. On the underside its mint. Was in dry storage from 1999 to 2015. It drives great and the patina gets a lot of attention - and the sound.

See photo of base of front windshield. There is some rust there that needs to be dealt with. Once current windshield is removed it can be repaired. Other than that most of the rust is surface/patina which again can be sealed with clear to keep that look.

Have a recent old car appraisal for $17,300 Cdn.
