The owner along with his good friend Rick Schuler did a great deal of the work. Rick is an extremely talented builder. We sold an incredible Chevy C-10 pick up that he had designed and built, when we owned Texas Classic Cars Of Dallas. It was one of the best trucks to pass through our dealership. This Camaro is also one of the nicest we've seen. When getting ready to restore an original classic car, it is sometimes a difficult decision as to whether to go back to totally original, or restore it with modifications. This build went back and forth with the owner and his friend, original, or not??? As you can see, the final decision was resto-mod. We think it was a good one. The Camaro obviously has many of it's original components with just theright addition of creature comforts. The power steering and brakes make it a pleasure to drive. The stereo system is hidden behind a panel in the trunk. The new upgraded stereo has IPod connectivity. There is a new air cleaner cover if you would like to replace the original which is on the car now. You will see the X33 code which was exclusive to the Norwood, Ohio built Camaros. Designating style trim group performance Z-28. The engine compartment is extremely well done. The attention to detail is obvious. The correct Z-28 valve covers were used on this well dressed engine. The engine code is V0220DZ which codes out to be a 1969 302, manual transmission, 4 speed 295 hp. 4bbl The owner of the car knows the history and this is said to be the original block. It was alreadyrestored and painted when he purchased the car, so he did not personallysee the matching vin. However, the engine rebuilder stated it was the original block. This is the original air breather cover. We have a new black one pictured later if you prefer to use it. You can see the attention to detail in the undercarriage of the Camaro. The builders covered every angle of this great build. The only flaw we found is some paint cracking on thefront plastic bumper. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX The body is excellent. The owner started with an original rust free car. The body gaps are excellent throughout the car. It's been hard to keep the 302 Z-28 from wanting to take a bight out of the Mustang Cobra Jet!!!
