1990 Chevrolet Silverado Crew Cab 3+3. Truck has a TBI 454 with a TH400 trans and 4.10 gears. Truck was originally the red and white color combo but was repainted approximately 10 years ago. Paint is in good shape for its age. If you look closely at the pictures I have tried to highlight the truck's cosmetic flaws. The top of the driver's side fender does have some clear coat peeling and under the driver's side door there is some evidence of the original paint color. The previous owner hit a tree with one of the mirrors and there is a dent in the driver's side door. When the mirror flexed, it caused the paint to chip (see pics.) I have not attempted to pull this dent out in fear of damaging the paint more. The truck has an good "driver quality" paint job and gets a lot of attention wherever it goes. I have owned several of these square body trucks and this is by far the most impressive one I have ever owned. Cab corners, rockers, and fenders are all solid and there is no evidence of patch work on this truck. As far as I can tell it is the original GM panels. Truck could use a new rear bumper as it has rusted in the typical spots where the bracing was welded on from the factory. Factory hubcaps are still intact and in good shape. Bedliner in good shape as well. Truck truly is a time capsule with the period correct running boards!
Truck is also mechanically sound. I have pulled a loaded car hauler with it and it does so effortlessly. Motor runs strong but does leak some oil from the oil fill cap. Over time the seal around the cap has hardened and lost its sealing ability. I have searched for new ones online but each time I order one that is supposed to fit the truck it ends up being the wrong size. The transmission also shifts out smoothly. Only issue is a small exhaust leak on the passenger side bank. I have the new manifold but have not made time to install it. It will be included with the truck. Both fuel tanks work and I switch between the two frequently.
The interior is all there. This truck does not have power windows. It's the old school cranks. Tilt steering wheel. Cruise control does not work and I have never attempted to fix it. Heater works perfectly. AC worked as well until the AC compressor froze up and I just rerouted the belt. The dash pad is the worst aspect of the interior. It was always the weak spot in these trucks. All the gauges work perfectly. Radio works but cassette deck does not. Truck currently displays low mileage but I'm unsure how many times the odometer has rolled over.
