Up for Auction is a newly finished 53 Chevy 3100 Shop truck. This truck was pulled from a field after sitting for about 30 years. Its a very solid body with very little rust. The drivers cab corner is the only place it has rot because the window was broken on that side. The inner and outer cowl panels are all solid as well as the floor. The front end was changed out with a Mustang II that has wilwood disc brakes and air ride. The motor is a 4 bolt 350 SBC with a large cam and Dart heads. Compression is at 9 to 1 and currently tuned on 8 pounds of boost at 2500 feet of elevation. Transmission is a built 700r4 with 2400 stall converter. Rear end is a fabricated Ford 9" with 3.89 posi gears and 31 spline Currie axles with big bearings and disc brakes. Rear is on air ride as well with a triangulated 4 link. The interior is basically all original with a new chrome column and dolphin gauges. New carpet kit, new headliner, door cards, kick panels, all interior handles, windshield glass and gasket, rear glass and gaskets, window regulators. It has an aluminum radiator and intercooler with a new grille. There is a brand new set of 20x8.5 Foose wheels with brand new 275/40R20 tires. The truck has a brand new wiring harness. The list goes on and on. The truck was purpose built to go fast and to be a hardcore shop truck, with that being said it has no door glass at this point and no wipers. This truck makes 600+ reliable horsepower on pump gas with 8 pounds of boost. Its an amazing feeling to get in to boost and have the tires rip loose at 40 mph when it shifts in to second gear and starts sliding all over the road. This trucks reserve is starting at 30k. I have over 25k in parts alone at my wholesale cost and over 500 man hours in to it. You can buy some cheap patina shop truck with a s10 chassis and simple small block for 25k or you can buy this monster for 30k and have something nobody else has and something that is truly one of a kind.
