No Reserve! High bid gets this great old '54 Chevy farm truck. As you can see - it is the desirable 5 window version.
This truck was still in use on the farm until recently. It fires right up (I installed a new battery). It carries great oil pressure, about 40lbs. I'm not sure why - but the engine has the older 216 style valve cover, but it has to be a 235 or 261 or something like that because the 216 was splash lubricated and only carried about 10 psi oil pressure. Anyway - runs well & carries great oil pressure. The truck came equipped with power brakes, and they work very well! It also has the 2 speed rear axle, which works as well. It has 13ft dump bed that works great, however, the cable for the up/down control is froze up from sitting. PTO & pump work perfectly. Tires are old and weathered but do hold air just fine.
The old truck has a great look to it with very minimal rust. A little in the right side cab corner but not bad. Please keep in mind that this truck was used on the farm for well over a half century, so it has numerous dings, dents, bumps, bruises, etc. It is very presentable, just like it is, but these were blue collar trucks that had to work for a living! This would be a great parade truck, or weekend & evening type project. It has been converted to 12 volt for easier starts. It could use a new pin in the shift tower - as the shifter is a little loose - very easy to do from inside the cab - nothing wrong with transmission. I always try to fairly describe my old trucks, but keep in mind it is old and I'm sure there will be other small things. Somewhere along the line, the title was lost, Kansas is a very easy state to get an antique title in. I have applied for the title and should have it in a couple of weeks. I guarantee a clear Kansas title to this vehicle. Please read my past feedback, and feel free to call Cort at 620-786-5172 with any questions.
