1994 Chevrolet Corvette --

Corvettes like this 1994 coupe represent perhaps the biggest bang for your performance buck in the world. Offering 300 horsepower, 6-speed manual, a world-class suspension and brakes, plus an interior with every possible luxury and convenience feature, you just can't beat a C4 in terms of fun per dollar. And with a long list of upgrades, this nasty black 'Vette still intimidates. This Corvette isn't about flash, although there's no denying that the blacked-out look gets noticed. There are no... real modifications beyond the wheels, but it still looks like a custom, and we like that a lot. Whatever the case, this Corvette can stand proudly on its own merits. The black paint is probably factory-issue, and while there's some of the usual GM orange peel in the finish, we bet you'll like the look. Yes, there are signs of use but from even five feet away, it looks pretty good. The smoother nose and convex rear bumper make it arguably the best-looking of the C4s, especially with the tinted glass that adds a menacing attitude. For being nearly 25 years old, this car still looks and acts like an icon. And unlike most of its siblings, this one has not been over-styled with aftermarket additions, offering only some chrome exhaust tips and the aforementioned wheels to upgrade the look. The black interior is always a great choice, lending a no-nonsense look to the 'Vette's high-tech driver's compartment. Those seats are every bit as comfortable as they look, with a myriad of adjustments to suit drivers of all shapes and sizes, one of the Corvette's strong suits. The leather still looks great, with only modest "comfort marks" on the driver's seat that are more about character and comfort and less about wear and tear. The carpets also remain in very good condition and the door panels that blend into the dash look great. The combination of digital and analog gauges were an effort to combine the highest visibility for quick information assimilation, and it definitely works and adds a high-tech look that was all the rage in the mid-90s. Of course, everything was standard, from climate control to power everything, and the stereo has been upgraded with a Pioneer fold-out screen and a big subwoofer under the hatch. Don't worry, there's still reasonable storage back there for a long weekend road trip. Chevy's LT1 needs no introduction, and in the Corvette, it provided effortless power and surprising efficiency. Its many tricks are well-documented, ranging from the reverse-flow cooling system to the water pump that was driven by the camshaft instead of a belt, and even today it remains a benchmark against which many others are measured. 12,000 miles ago, it was upgraded with a Jasper long block, so it's quite fresh. Upgrades include an MSD ignition, stainless headers, a new water pump, and the hoses and plugs were just replaced. The ZF 6-speed manual transmission is still one of the best-shifting manual gearboxes you'll find, and it's easy to beat the skip-shift feature by simply giving it a goose before you grab second gear. Out back you get 3.42 gears, which are punchy yet the towering overdrive allows it to just loaf along on the highway. The transmission and rear end were recently serviced, the brakes are new with stainless lines, there are Bilstein shocks at all four corners, and a great-sounding exhaust. This Corvette wears custom 18-inch alloys painted black to match as well as a set of Michelin Pilot performance radials. If you've always wanted a Corvette, this nicely preserved 1994 C4 fits the bill and delivers big performance without a big investment. Call today!
