*The Truck's History*This truck was built in the mid 1980's by a gentleman in the United States Air Force. He used an M37 military chassis and mounted the 1952 chevy 5 window onto it. He then used it as his daily driver. This individual was stationed in California, Nevada, Colorado, and Texas and that is where this truck lived most its life. I found some old tickets for him being overweight towing in the mid 90's on a base and he told me that there is nothing stopping this truck from driving across country right now except the tires, which I have replaced. Even though it is technically a 1/2 ton truck it can tow a lot and has a receiver hitch and trailer wiring. He loved this truck very much and when he was ready to give it to his son, who is in his mid 20's, the son said he would rather have money to dump into his Acura (Barf, I know). I probably personally overpaid for it but this truck has some cool history and just looks mean. I sold my property where I planned to use this as a ranch truck and that is why you see it up for sale currently. I have driven it a couple hundred miles in the last year and it rides like an old truck. It does run good and stops well as it has the military axles and brakes. The power steering and power brakes make it a lot easier to drive.
*The Nitty Gritty*The truck is located in Sunny Phoenix Arizona (zipcode for shipping is 85034) It is being sold as is and where is and there is no warranty as it is an old vehicle. Please ask any questions you have through ebay messaging and if you want specific pictures or want me to call you please leave your number and I will do so. If you are local or have a mechanic that is local and would like to come and look at the truck before the auction ends and take it for a spin I will make myself available to do so. If you are looking for a freshly restored truck this is not the truck for you as it was built 30 years ago. The interior has been freshened up since, but the exterior paint is 30 years old, the body has a couple scuffs, and dings. It has had a patch panel on the floor on the drivers side but the passenger side floors are all virgin and not all rotted out (they are in really really good shape for their age). It is not a completely rust free truck but it still looks presentable. Remember that I live in Phoenix Arizona so my definition of "rust free" means no rust whatsoever. I have seen a lot of vehicles advertised as rust free that were way worse off than this truck, I'm just trying to be as honest as possible with this ad. The trade off of virtually no rust being in Arizona is that rubber items deteriorate rapidly with the heat so there is no door weatherstripping or side window felts or rubber. The drivers side window is plexiglass also. The carb will need some fine tuning or a rebuild in the near future as the accelerator pump is starting to seep a little and sometimes it stays at a higher idle for longer than what I believe is normal. The drivers door latch needs a return spring as it does not stay latched unless you manually put the striker back. The valve cover gaskets need replaced as they leak. It smokes a little at initial startup. The 4X4 works.
In a nutshell, if you are looking for a truck to drive around town, load stuff up on your property, make runs to the hardware store, and maybe do a little off roading this truck will work out well for ya. $500 Deposit through paypal due within 24 hours of auction end. I will not end the auction early. It is only on ebay and is no reserve meaning whoever is the highest bidder gets this truck. I don't have a buy it now price, if you want it, bid on it. Remaining balance due within 7 days. I can store the truck indoors for up to a month if you need to arrange for shipping. It also has a full size spare, original steering wheel, and metal stake posts for the bedsides that come with the truck. If you want to fly in and drive it home I will pick you up at the airport, just remember the truck is geared low so it would make for a long drive (50mph) I am a private seller, this is my truck, and it comes with a clean clear Notarized Arizona title.Thank you for reading my ad in its entirety and if you have any questions please send me a message or you can call or text directly at nine two eightnine ten ninetysix eightyfour. THIS IS BEING RELISTED BECAUSE ebay username prendie007 likes to bid on stuff then never even had the guts to give an excuse. Please don't be a loser like this guy and bid to own this nice '52 chevy.
