This Corvette is unadorned with any chrome or pinstripes, letting its Gloss Black paint highlight the curves and creases of the body from front to rear. The... front and rear bumpers were restyled on this car with new integrated aerodynamic spoilers that resulted in significant drag reduction. They also looked better, reaching further out in the front and presenting a designed in, as opposed to added on, look to the rear spoiler. The black paint shines nicely and reflects the light, whether it is sunlight or streetlights, moving along the lines of the car as it moves down the street. Of-course there are the crossed racing flags on the front between the hideaway headlights just in front of the redesigned hood with a power bulge running down the center. Mirrored T-Roof sections look great in place or are easily removed for open air cruising. Another set of crossed racing flags appears on the gas cap and Corvette is in script on the rear bumper that has dual tailpipes peeking out from under it. Complementing the classy looks of the gloss black paint outside, are the classy looks of a Camel interior. Open the door and you are greeted by a tastefully designed door panel with a long armrest for comfortable cruising, controls for the power windows and locks and a handy door pocket for personal effects. (or maps. Remember those?) Have a seat in the power adjustable leather seat and get it adjusted perfectly for yourself. Now grab the leather wrapped 3-spoke steering wheel and notice how good it feels in your hands. It is mounted on a tilt column so can be adjusted to clearly see the tachometer and speedometer. Engine gauges are mounted in the center console just above the stereo, and ventilation controls include those for the updated R134 air conditioning system that blows nice and cold. The T-Roof sections have a nice padded storage bag that stores in the hatch area when removed. Under the hood of this car you will find a completely stock engine compartment that is neat and clean with a tried and true 350 cubic inch V8 engine, coincidentally designated L81 in this year. It is topped by a polished aluminum air filter housing and has nice finned valve covers in black with polished ridges. Signs of proper regular maintenance include new gaskets and belts as well as a new alternator. The undercarriage and chassis of this car is just as neat and clean as the engine bay and also shows signs of regular maintenance. There are new sway bar bushings and links as well as new shocks and rear spring bushings. The dual exhaust system looks recently refreshed exiting out the back with turned down tips. The car sits nicely on those polished alloy wheels mounted with 255/50ZR16 Goodyear Eagle GT tires all around.
