Publicized, Show Stopping, Z28 Camaro!!!
1973 Chevrolet Camaro
History behind this one of a kind...
In 1973 Mr. Bob Routt purchased a brand new 1973 Z28 Chevy Camaro for $3,695. He understandably babied this beautiful blue Camaro. The dark metallic blue, code 26, with contrasting black stripes, was truly a loved vehicle. It was rated as one of the top 1973 Z28's in the country. It was in numerous shows. Won countless awards. In 2000, Mr. Routt completed a full restoration totaling over $100,000 worth of work. Every detail thoroughly examined and restored. This added new life into Mr. Routt's one owner, well maintained, still only reading 21,000 miles on the odometer, one of a kind Camaro. Upon completion this car was trailered in an enclosed trailer to shows, keeping the car in mint condition. Shortly after, this Z28 was publicized in a hard back "Camaroâ€, by Anthony Young. Prominently displayed between pages 55-59 as a prime example of what a 1973 Z28 Camaro should be. Main Street Motors acquired this truly unique Z28 and hope we can find it a new owner.
Specs:
Engine is a 350, 245hp V8, with dual exhaust, cast iron intake, and hydraulic lifters. The Hurst shifter shifts the M20 wide ratio transmission. Rims and wheels are original, sporting the Firestone Wide Oval 60s. Interior is black on black and couldn't be in any nicer shape. The black vinyl is in like new condition. The plastics throughout, i.e. behind the seats or on door panels, is in incredible condition. Zero fading, scuffs, cracks, or even sun damage. No leaks or concerns of any kind with the impeccably clean motor and under carriage. Under carriage is so clean you could eat off of it.
Only 11,574 Z28 were produced. Of those 11,574, only 6,107 were 4 speed manuals. How many of those are one owners? I don't know the exact answer, but there can't be many. This Camaro is a rare jewel that you don't come across very often, if ever. There is absolutely zero that could be done to make this car any better. Motor is top notch. Interior is pristine. Body is straight and free of rust. Starts with a turn of a key. Best part, it's numbers matching! The next owner of this vehicle will have a hard time not showing off this master piece, winning awards, and overall enjoying this Z28.
